WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following key areas:
• Responsible for the delivery of assigned packaging development projects (On time in Full) by meeting KPI of First Time Right
• Assess packaging to ensure it is fit for purpose (by completing testing and necessary Main Plant and Transit trials)
• To propose the content of technical specifications and BOM creation for packaging components in SAP PLM and interfacing between MM and PP Module respectively
• Where relevant, to deliver, as a member for Project team, solutions to agreed projects and rejuvenation
• Innovations, on time in full, by following best practice in packaging
• To interface with other functions in support of project delivery (e.g. marketing, supply chain, and supply management, etc)
• Actively influence stakeholders and collaborate with cross functional teams to drive project from concept, development, feasibility assessment and validation testing of pack platforms identified
• Develop effective relationships with packaging suppliers to deliver cost effective and new technology solutions
• Manage and deliver sustainability projects in line with business agenda
• Expert level understanding and usage of SAP PLM, BPM, Teamcenter/Active Workspace, CAD & CAPE Software’s

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Bachelors in Polymer/ Industrial & Manufacturing/ Mechanical
• Core understanding of: Packaging Development, Technical Systems, Common business tools and databases, Microsoft Office, SAP / PLM
• Working knowledge of Performance characteristics of flexible plastics, rigid plastics, carton board / corrugated
• Planning, managing and reviewing factory trials
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills especially delivering towards challenging timelines
• Team player; Trouble shooting and analytical approach; Network and project management
• Leadership capability and ownership mentality with strong result orientation and business acumen
• Basic technical competence and packaging component knowledge and experience in flexible packaging, rigid bottles and corrugated cartons.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Packaging Development for local or MNC FMCG Business
• Has been exposed to best practice in development and has been exposed or awareness of packaging mediums
• Experience of the NPD development cycles and requirements from inception to launch
