The Safety, Health, Environmental (SHE) Director has overall responsibility for managing Personal and Process Safety, Construction Safety, Security, Health, Industrial Hygiene & Environmental improvement activities to achieve excellence at all sites in the geography. These sites include all factories, office buildings, virtual offices, R&D centers, distribution centers, field sales and merchandisers. S/he is responsible for all Unilever employees, contractors and third-party suppliers across the end-to-end supply chain including any decentralized businesses. The Director works across the matrixed organization to deliver SHE technology, tools, and work processes to help clients across the businesses, functions and geographies excel in SHE performance. S/he also has responsibility for overseeing legal SHE compliance of all sites in the geography. Unilever has robust external and internal commitments for protecting people and the planet and the SHE community facilitates progress against those targets. Success is determined by a strong SHE culture in the geography.

Drive SHE Culture & Performance: Participate in global leadership, set plans and goals for SHE across the region, and lead teams to achieve these targets.
Risk Management & Governance: Build strong networks to anticipate changes, manage risks, and ensure governance processes align with global standards. Track performance and participate in audits.
Legal Compliance: Oversee compliance with local and national regulations, working with legal teams to implement new requirements and maintain standards and policies.
Reporting & Analysis: Support global reporting, analyze incidents and trends, and provide insights for improvement.
Capability Building: Ensure staff are trained, share best practices, and maintain expertise in key SHE areas (e.g., machine safety, emergency planning).
Incident Management: Advise on investigations, lead root cause analysis for complex incidents, and support site leaders during serious events.
Integration & Change Management: Integrate new businesses, manage change, and balance risk, cost, and resources.
