Senior Manager - Site Engineering

Job Title: Engineering Manager Function: Supply Chain Sub-Function: Manufacturing Location: Kalurghat Factory, Chattogram, Bangladesh Work Level: WL - 2A/2B Job Purpose: • Lead the development of systems and assigned personnel to improve the effectiveness of engineering and maintenance services to achieve continuous improvement in plant reliability and operating results. Work to continuously reduce unplanned downtime and equipment failure. • Leads the development and execution of strategies to enhance product offerings and optimize manufacturing processes to deliver additional value to business. This includes managing engineering projects from concept to implementation, integrating new technologies, and improving production systems for efficiency and quality. • Manage capital spending plans and programs, support the innovation process and utilize project management skills to assure all plant and Corporate projects operate under control- Employee and safety, GMP, Contractor safety, spending, schedule compliance. • Comply with preventive maintenance requirements as defined by customers, the plant quality systems and the requirement to assure effective manufacturing capacity is available to meet production requirements. • Manage spending effectively, develop annual budgets in detail, seek improvement in efficiency and results. • Support and/or manage capital installation projects. Develop work standards involving safety and quality for both internal and external craft and technical personnel, assure compliance to standards. Take corrective action when necessary. • Member of plant safety committee and champion for compliance programs as assigned. • Key member of UMS implementation team. Provide training to maintenance and production personnel as required. • Operate plant utility systems in compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. • Plan, schedule and execute maintenance programs to protect company assets, comply with safety and quality requirements, resulting in the attainment of expected effective capacity and capability in support of cost and service objectives. • Create and implement plans to continuously improve site infrastructure needs such as energy, water, treatment, steam and all infrastructure services, contracts and contractors. • Work collaboratively with Operations managers to improve site and line efficiencies and reduce waste • Develop, built and make available in the organization the Product, Process and Packaging Expertise relevant to the asset base. • Drive factory masterplan, building new edge capability for supply agility to support the business growth Main Accountabilities: Technical and Engineering Standards: Develop technical resources to meet process and product technical support requirements. Specific expertise in plant systems is required to represent plant needs in project development and design work. Project Management: Plan and execute projects involved with repair and capital installation. Use resources effectively to achieve expected results with spending and time constraints. Drive Factory Master Plan with building new capability to support the growth. Product, Process and Packaging Expertise: Knowledge of plant systems and equipment applied to maintenance activity and problem-solving efforts. Complete understanding of maintenance management function and the ability to apply technology and management systems effectively in maintaining plant assets and directing resources and personnel. · Developing Others: Develop training programs for plant technical and operating personnel. Coach technical personnel effectively in developing an understanding of the role of maintenance in supporting plant operations effectively. Cost Management: Manage maintenance spending, constantly seeking the least cost approach to assuring on-going process capability in meeting Division and Customer requirements. Develop budgets for departments, work to reduce costs. · Comply with Company Policies for SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) and Quality. Fulfill responsibilities as Plant Environmental Coordinator. Experiences & Qualifications: • 10 Years of experience in Supply Chain with 7+ years in Manufacturing • Bachelors degree in Engineering Skills: • Manufacturing Vision, Plan and Technology • Engineering Standards • Cost and Performance Management • Business Partnering, Stakeholder and People Management • Safety and Quality Acumen • End to end Supply Chain • Financial and Business Acumen • Asset Management & Engineering Spare Management • Engineering Core Design Understanding • Good communicator and stakeholder management • Structural and strong analytical thinking • Passion in developing talent and passion for high performance.
