Key Account Executive - Ice Cream

JOB PURPOSE 

This role exists to translate Unilever’s Ice Cream commercial strategy into strong customer delivery and in-market execution across UAE Modern Trade. You will support turnover delivery, build customer plans, strengthen Perfect Store standards, and use data to identify risks and growth opportunities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Support the Modern Trade Manager in tracking and delivering customer turnover, volume, promotional investment, and profitability targets. 

• Develop and maintain customer activity calendars, promotional agreements, assortment plans, innovation listings, activations, and distribution tracking. 

• Manage GRV processing, returns, reconciliations, payment follow-ups, and claims resolution with Finance and Supply Chain. 

• Drive Perfect Store execution across assigned accounts, including On-Shelf Availability, On-Shelf Display, Share of Shelf, pricing compliance, and the 6Ps framework. 

• Conduct regular store and market visits to assess execution, identify gaps, review cabinet availability, and capture competitor activity. 

• Coordinate freezer, chiller, and POSM deployment and monitor execution performance across the assigned store estate. 

• Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales and spend trackers, flag variances, and recommend corrective actions. 

• Support bottom-up planning, TTS control, promotional intensity, activation scheduling, and trade investment optimization within approved budgets. 

• Analyse EPOS and market data to track sell-out, availability, market share, and execution KPIs, and prepare actionable customer and category insights. 

• Present data-backed recommendations and performance updates to Sales, Marketing, Category, Finance, and Supply Chain stakeholders. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• 3–6 years of FMCG sales experience, including Modern Trade or key account exposure in the UAE. 

• Demonstrated experience managing retailer relationships, driving in-store execution, and delivering sales targets. 

• Strong numerical and analytical capability, with confidence using Excel, PowerPoint, sell-out reports, trade spend trackers, and basic TTS/P&L measures. 

• Excellent written and spoken English, with Urdu or Malayalam required. 

• Valid UAE driving license and willingness to conduct frequent store and market visits. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• Experience in ice cream, frozen foods, chilled, or dairy categories. 

• Exposure to joint business planning, promotional planning, assortment management, and trade spend management. 

• Experience using Nielsen, IRI, EPOS data, or retailer POS portals.
