JOB PURPOSE

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

• Design and implementation of the SAP BTP Subaccount Strategy, defining governance rules for environment separation, tenant isolation, quota consumption, and regional deployment models.
• Serve as the Platform SME responsible for enabling, configuring, and maintaining BTP services (e.g., Integration Suite, Work Zone, SAP Build Process Automation, etc.) as per specific business and technical project requirements.
• Define, configure, and maintain BTP Destinations and other connectivity artifacts required for seamless communication between applications running on BTP and backend SAP/non-SAP systems.
• Monitor and manage BTP resource consumption and service quotas across multiple global accounts and subaccounts to optimize costs and prevent service disruptions.
• Ensure robust and secure integration between SAP S/4HANA (Cloud or On-Premise) and necessary SAP BTP Services. This includes configuring and managing trust and connectivity using protocols like OAuth, SAML, and establishing/maintaining the SAP Cloud Connector.
• Ensure security, compliance, and optimal performance of the SAP BTP environments are well thought through & addressed.
• Work closely across all levels of organization including internal stakeholders, Enterprise Architect and SAP Solution Architects, to execute SAP BTP strategies.
• Oversee activities related to the BTP Platform and Stay updated on industry trends and best practices associated with SAP BTP.
• Defining HA/ DR strategies for SAP BTP services.
• Conduct system assessments, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Should be skilled in the management of the monitoring infrastructure (agent versions, patches) and managing platforms.
• Conduct system performance analysis and optimization to ensure optimal utilization of SAP BTP resources across projects and platform.
• Driving requirement review sessions with partners to develop/deliver MVP requirements, testing strategy (Manual/Automated), system landscape planning.
• Make confident decisions and drive results through others while fostering collaboration and innovation

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience as a System Architect supporting SAP applications and platforms with understanding of servers, applications architecture, system connectivity, platform design, storage, databases and compliance processes.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a BTP Administrator or Platform Architect.
• Deep expertise in the SAP BTP Cockpit and managing global accounts, directories, and subaccounts.
• Proven experience setting up and maintaining the SAP Cloud Connector for reliable and secure connection between BTP and on-premise systems.
• Solid understanding of integration protocols, including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and XSUAA for BTP authentication.
• Experience setting or supporting SAP application and platform with understanding of servers, applications architecture, system connectivity, platform design, storage, databases and Compliance Process required.
• Experience in setting up IAS as IDP, MFA etc
• Experience in setting up Multi region HA.
• Experience in HANA DB setup with real time synch between two regional instances Preferred.
• SAP BTP Certifications (Solution Architect)

Skills
• Deep understanding of SAP BTP services, including SAP Cloud Platform, data management, analytics, and application development.
• Technical proficiency on SAP BTP services, APIs, and integration tools, SAP Cloud Platform, data management, analytics, and application development.
• Strong Knowledge in SAP BTP HA/ DR strategy
• Expertise in incident management, change, problem, release management and Service validation process.
• Strong communications verbal & written; creating sound arguments; or to adequately represent both business and IT implications during a Major Service Disruption.
• Strong leadership qualities including being enthusiastic, thoughtful, thorough, decisive, and flexible, conducting yourself professionally and with integrity.
• Have strong systematic problem-solving experience, a sense of accountability, ownership and drive. interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.
