Job Description: Consumer Insights Director, Home Care Greater Asia Job Title: Consumer Insights Director, Home Care Greater Asia Work level: WL3X Reporting Lines: Consumer Insights Head, Home Care Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Purpose of the Role The Consumer Insights Director is responsible for driving sustainable growth across Home Care Greater Asia through deep consumer, shopper and market understanding, translating insights into actionable strategies that shape brand growth, innovation, portfolio choices and business decisions. As a member of the Home Care Greater Asia Leadership Team, the role partners closely with Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain and R&D leaders to identify growth opportunities, inform strategic choices and ensure the voice of the consumer is embedded in decision making across the business. Personal qualities would include a track record of driving for business impact and growth, confidence to bring a future point of view into decision making, foresight of where the consumer is moving in 5-10 years and related opportunities for future growth, transforming insights in the AI age, team leadership and development across different geographic locations, ability to lead and guide regional/global partner agencies. Key Responsibilities 1. Lead Consumer & Market Insights Agenda • Develop a deep understanding of consumers, shoppers, customers and market dynamics across Greater Asia. • Lead UBS tracking and other brand health measurement programs to monitor performance, diagnose issues and identify growth opportunities. • Identify emerging trends, future growth opportunities and evolving consumer needs. • Generate actionable insights to inform category, brand and innovation strategies. • Lead strategic consumer learning plans and insight activation across markets. • Ensure consumer understanding is embedded in key business decisions and long-term planning. 2. Shape Growth Strategy & Business Decisions Partner the Greater Asia Leadership Team to turn consumer and market understanding into clear growth strategies, portfolio choices and investment priorities across the Home Care business. • Partner the BU GM and Leadership Team to develop growth strategies and business plans. • Provide market, competitive and consumer intelligence to support strategic choices. • Identify growth white spaces, unmet needs and expansion opportunities. • Evaluate business opportunities, investment choices and innovation pipelines through a consumer lens. • Influence resource allocation and prioritization through insight-led recommendations. 3. Drive Advanced Analytics & Future-Fit Capabilities • Champion data-driven decision making across the organization. • Leverage analytics, AI and predictive modelling to generate stronger consumer and market understanding. • Strengthen insight generation and business analytics capabilities across markets. • Build common frameworks, learning plans and best practices across Greater Asia. 4. Build Organizational Capability • Coach and develop Consumer Insights capabilities across Greater Asia. • Foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation and continuous learning. • Build strong partnerships across Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain and R&D. • Develop a high-performing, future-fit Consumer Insights organization. Leadership Expectations The successful candidate will: • Act as the voice of the consumer and shopper within the business. • Challenge conventional thinking with fact-based insights and analytics. • Influence senior stakeholders without direct authority. • Balance consumer, commercial and financial perspectives in decision making. • Drive collaboration across markets and functions. • Translate insights into measurable business outcomes. Key Stakeholders • Greater Asia BU LT • Global Stakeholders HC Head of Consumer Insights BG Consumer Insights Teams Global Data & Analytics Teams Experience & Qualifications Essential • 15+ years of experience in Consumer Insights, Category Growth, Strategy or related disciplines. • Strong FMCG experience with proven business impact. • Deep understanding of consumer behaviour, category dynamics and growth drivers. • Strong strategic thinking and analytical capability. • Experience influencing senior leadership teams. Preferred • Regional or multi-country leadership experience. • Experience integrating insights into business and growth strategies. • Exposure to advanced analytics, AI and data-driven business models. • Experience leading cross-functional transformation initiatives.
