Reports to: Engineering Manager
Location: Rahim Yar Khan Factory
Function: Engineering – Manufacturing
Work Level: WL1
Terms and Conditions: Permanent

JOB PURPOSE
To ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical and instrumentation systems across the PC plant, while leading the site-wide electrical safety program and supporting digital transformation initiatives.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Plant Electrical & Instrumentation Operations:
• Ensure high reliability and uptime of all electrical and instrumentation systems on the production and processing floor
• Manage maintenance of:
o Transformers, HT & LT panels, MCCs
o Generators and synchronization systems
o AVRs and distribution systems
o Field instrumentation and control systems
• Drive breakdown analysis, root cause elimination, and preventive maintenance strategies
• Support plant optimization through automation and instrumentation improvements
Electrical Infrastructure & Utilities Management:
• Own end-to-end health and performance of power systems across the site
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of:
o Power distribution (HT/LT) systems
o Backup systems (generators, UPS where applicable)
• Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical standards and statutory requirements
• Coordinate inspections and approvals with electrical inspectorates and regulatory bodies
Electrical Safety Leadership (Site-Wide):
• Lead and continuously improve the Electrical Safety Program across the site
• Act as or support the designated Competent Person for electrical safety
• Ensure implementation of Unilever Life Critical Standards (LCS), including:
o LOTOTO compliance
o Safe work practices for HV/LV systems
o Access control for electrical areas
• Drive hazard identification, risk assessments, and corrective actions
• Build capability through training and awareness programs across teams
• Ensure contractor and third-party electrical safety compliance
Digitalization & Automation
• Support and lead digital initiatives related to:
o Energy management systems (EMS)
o Equipment monitoring and condition-based maintenance
o Data visibility and performance dashboards
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and digital tools
Stakeholder & Contractor Management:
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (production, SHE, supply chain, engineering teams) for smooth operations
• Manage communication with external estate holders, utilities, and service providers
• Lead contractors for maintenance, projects, and compliance activities
• Ensure supplier performance meets safety, quality, and delivery standards
Projects & Continuous Improvement
• Lead or support CAPEX and improvement projects related to electrical systems
• Ensure:
o Timely delivery (OTIF)
o Compliance with safety and engineering standards
• Drive initiatives to improve:
o Energy efficiency
o Equipment reliability
o Safety performance

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED


Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
• 4–7 years of experience in manufacturing / processing industry
• Strong hands-on experience in:
o Power systems (HT/LT), generators, synchronization
o Electrical maintenance & troubleshooting
o Instrumentation and automation

Skills:
• Strong technical expertise in industrial electrical systems
• Deep understanding of electrical safety standards and practices
• Problem-solving and root cause analysis mindset
• Stakeholder management and communication skills
• Exposure to digital systems / EMS / automation
• High ownership and ability to operate in a fast-paced plant environment

Leadership:
