Position Title: Asst. End-to-End Import, Customs & Regulatory Manager - Foods
Location : Grha Unilever

Earlier this year (March 2026), Unilever announced an agreement to separate our Foods business. Our Foods business, including brands such as Hellmann's and Knorr, will join forces with McCormick to become a global flavour leader, with leading positions across spices, seasonings, condiments and complementary food categories, supported by a strong retail and foodservice platform. McCormick has 135+ years of heritage, a presence in 150+ countries and territories, and a portfolio of trusted brands. The transaction remains subject to consultation, regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions with a targeted deal close of mid-2027.


About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Manager E2E Import, Customs & Regulatory to lead end-to-end Import Customs operations for the Foods business. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Indonesian customs regulations and government requirements while enabling uninterrupted supply continuity through timely customs clearance, operational excellence, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, supporting Bonded Warehouse operations, Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) compliance, and Halal Logistics initiatives.

This role works closely with internal cross-functional teams, government authorities, customs brokers, bonded warehouse, logistics service providers, and suppliers to ensure import operations are executed efficiently, compliantly, and cost-effectively.


Key Responsibilities
Import Operations and Customs

  • Manage end-to-end import customs operations for Foods in accordance with Indonesian Customs, Quarantine, BPOM and other relevant government regulations and company policies.

  • Ensure timely customs clearance to support uninterrupted supply continuity.

  • Monitor import shipments from origin until customs release, transfer to the Bonded Warehouse and final delivery to the designated manufacturing or distribution site.

  • Coordinate customs inspections and regulatory permit submissions.


Customs Compliance and Documentation

  • Review and validate import documentation, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, Certificate of Origin, Import Licenses, MSDS, Product Specification, Certificate of Analysis, Phytosanitary Certificate, Health Certificate, Free Sale Certificate, Halal Certifcate, SNI, and other regulatory documents.

  • Ensure accurate HS Code classification and customs declaration (PIB).

  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess business impacts.


Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with Planning, Procurement, Engineering, Treasury, Marketing, RND, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, External Affairs, R&D, and Supply Chain teams.

  • Collaborate and build effective working relationship with Customs Authorities, Government Agencies, Customs Broker (PPJK), Bonded Warehouse Operator, Freight Forwarders, Shipping Lines, Suppliers, and Insurance Providers.

  • Support Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) compliance activities and serve as the primary customs contact during inspection, audits, and regulatory engagements.


Financial and Vendor Management

  • Review and validate Import Duty and Tax payments while ensuring timely reconciliation of logistics-related invoices including Bonded Warehouse operations.

  • Monitor Customs-related logistics costs and identify customs duty optimization opportunities through Free Trade Agreements (FTA/RCEP), Master List facilities, KITE Duty Drawback, and other available customs incentive schemes.

  • Evaluate logistics service provider performance against agreed KPIs.

  • Support annual logistics procurement and freight bidding activities.


Systems, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain accurate customs master data, SAP records. and operational reporting systems to ensure data integrity and business visibility.

  • Prepare customs compliance reports and KPIs dashboards.

  • Identify operational risks and drive continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and service performance.

Qualifications
Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, International Trade, Customs Administration, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.


Professional Certifications (Preferred)

  • Certificate Customs Expert

  • Certificate of Supply Chain and Logistics (if applicable)

  • Certificate of Halal Logistics (if applicable)

  • Certificate AEO Expert (if applicable)


Language

  • Fluent Bahasa Indonesia

  • Professional English (written & spoken)


Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Import, Customs, International Trade, or Supply Chain Operations.

  • Experience in FMCG, Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, or multinational companies is preferred.

  • Hands-on experience working with Indonesian Customs regulations, import permits, and government authorities.

  • Experience in customs audits, regulatory compliance, or trade compliance is advantage.
