JOB PURPOSE

This role exists to lead packaging excellence across physical and digital worlds, ensuring that our brands connect with consumers through high‑quality, technically flawless, and future‑ready packaging. As part of the Artwork Excellence team within Global Marketing Services, this role transforms brand ideas and innovation into impactful pack solutions — from adaptive design and print-ready artwork to digital and CGI pack imagery for an omnichannel environment.

You’ll partner with Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, E‑commerce and external agencies to bring packaging to life efficiently, consistently, and at scale. You’ll be part of a team that believes in doing work that matters — for people and the planet.

Because here, we don’t just hire for jobs. We invite you to be part of something bigger.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the end to end packaging process across adaptive design, artwork, separations and digital pack images for physical and digital channels.
  • Manage artwork and pack image projects using Unilever artwork management systems (e.g. BLUE / ArtLink), ensuring on time and first time right delivery.
  • Partner with Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain and E commerce to ensure brand consistency, regulatory compliance and technical accuracy of packaging assets.
  • Collaborate with adaptive design and print management agencies, providing clear briefs, technical guidance and printability expertise from early design stages through to print handover.
  • Own the adaptive design process including SKU matrix development, toolbox creation and technical feasibility assessments.
  • Lead creation, approval and handover of printed artwork and separations to printers, ensuring compliance with agreed rate cards, SLAs and cost transparency.
  • Drive design for value and cost optimization decisions (e.g. print processes, colours, formats) while protecting brand equity and quality.
  • Lead the creation and approval of CGI pack images (FOP, BOP, Hero images) for omnichannel and connected commerce environments.
  • Ensure artwork, pack images and packaging data are governed, stored and made available for downstream digital and e commerce use.
  • Operate within the Hub governance model, managing projects and communication virtually via Microsoft Teams, collaborating effectively across regions, time zones and tracking artwork KPIs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 years of experience in artwork production, packaging management or design‑to‑print processes, ideally in a complex, multi‑brand global/regional environment.
  • Solid understanding of end‑to‑end packaging workflows, including adaptive design, print production and digital pack imagery.
  • Experience working with external agencies and vendors, managing timelines, quality, costs and service level agreements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively and work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective partnership with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
  • Comfortable working in digital and remote setups, with hands‑on experience using Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and online workflow systems; able to influence stakeholders and drive process compliance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with CGI pack imagery and omnichannel or connected commerce content.
  • Knowledge of centralized or Hub‑based operating models and artwork governance frameworks.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Hybrid work and flexibility.
  • Opportunities for the development and improvement of qualifications.
  • Sharing the cost of professional training & courses.
  • Benefits: life insurance, private medical care, pension fund, sharing the cost of sports activities, Benefits System – Cafeteria and many others.
  • Extra days off to take care of yourself and others.
  • Unilever store - Our products at attractive prices.
