2026 Nutrition Science Internship

WHO ARE WE?

We are the Global Wellbeing Collective (WBC) team at Unilever. We are focused on one of Unilever’s largest growth opportunities – the €140bn Health & Wellbeing space defined by Vitamins, Minerals, and Supplements (VMS).

Unilever’s Health & Wellbeing Group holds the company’s functional nutrition brands and the portfolio of brands that includes Equilibra (Italy) and US acquired brands Olly, LiquidIV, SmartyPants, Welly, Onnit and Nutrafol. Each brand is completely unique and focused on giving consumers superior experiences within their respective spaces and target segments. We are committed to continue to grow this strategic business for Unilever through a series of acquisitions and international expansion of acquired brands through Unilever’s scale and network in the markets.

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW

The Intern will play a critical role in the Nutritional Sciences and Innovation team. The intern will either focus on 1) claims and communication of our existing portfolio or 2) support innovation: both early-stage and long-term pipeline projects

The intern will learn how to translate science into differentiated and meaningful claims, communications, concepts and products. Strong people and networking skills and a true passion for innovation and science also required.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

· Develop a claims pipeline for our existing US business, growing international expansion business or a strategic research area (i.e. sleep, cognition, gut health, women’s health, beauty from within, etc)

· Perform literature review of articles via PubMed or other accredited database on key scientific areas using AI digital search tools

· Competitive Landscape overview

· Develop a nutrition one-pager of key information

· Support the identification of emerging trends for the key benefit areas

· Support front end innovation activities including but not limited to workshops, prototyping and claimstorming

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

· Student currently in a Bachelor Program for Nutrition Science, Sports Science, Physiology, Biology or comparable life science degree

· Broad knowledge and interest in Nutrition Science

· Strong understanding of data science, digital technology and AI tools including LLM

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present information in a clear and concise manner

· Problem-solving, troubleshooting skills and ability to find creative solutions

· Ability to work successfully both independently and in a ‘team-based’ collaborative environment
