Location of the job:Jonesboro, AR

Shift Assignment: 4:00 pm to 2:15 am (Monday -Thursday)

Base Pay Rate: $32.50 with an additional $1.75 shift differential (after successful 90-day evaluation $33.45)

Background & Purpose of the Job:

The Line Leadis responsible for driving operational excellence within their assigned production cell by ensuring consistent execution of processes, developing team capabilities, and maintaining equipment and material standards. This role serves as the front-line leader, owning performance, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and acting as the subject matter expert (SME) for their area.

What You'll Do

  • Own daily performance results for the production cell, including safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.  
  • Lead by example to ensure adherence to standard work and company expectations.  
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all line performance-related issues.  
  • Drive accountability within the team to meet operational targets.  
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives within the cell.  
  • Utilize the 4M framework (Man, Machine, Method, Material) to identify gaps and implement sustainable solutions.  
  • Participate in and facilitate improvement activities such as:   
  • Root cause analysis  
  • Rapid improvement events  
  • Process optimization initiatives  
  • Ensure compliance with all Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).  
  • Reinforce process expectations to drive consistency and accountability.  
  • Support and participate in:   
  • RTTs (Root Cause / Trouble Tracking activities)  
  • CILRs (Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication, Re-tightening standards)  
  • SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Dies / quick changeover initiatives)  
  • Identify and escalate process deviations and improvement opportunities.  
  • Train team members to documented processes and standards.  
  • Maintain and utilize skill matrices to track team capabilities.  
  • Conduct skill evaluations to ensure competency and compliance.  
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate training or development plans.  
  • Foster a culture of ownership, engagement, and continuous learning.  
  • Ensure adherence to Autonomous Maintenance (AM) calendars.  
  • Maintain and verify basic equipment conditions.  
  • Identify and tag equipment issues using F-tags and ensure timely follow-up.  
  • Partner with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and up time.  
  • Ensure materials meet defined specification ranges.  
  • Monitor product quality and escalate concerns to quality teams as needed.  
  • Support investigation and resolution of material-related defects.  
  • Follow established escalation processes for safety, quality, delivery, or equipment issues.  
  • Communicate effectively across functions to resolve issues quickly.  
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.  
  • Demonstrate Full Ownership of the System (FOS) by taking accountability for area performance.  
  • Lead daily floor execution, ensuring priorities are clear and aligned.  
  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for the cell:   
  • Provide guidance and technical support to team members  
  • Ensure knowledge sharing and standardization of best practices  

What You’ll Need To Succeed 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent iequired
  • Must have 2 years’ experience completing routine mechanical maintenance tasks in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Strong experience in analytical problem solving. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills working with peers, other managers, and hourly employees. 
  • Experience working in a high-performance team-based work environment.
