The core responsibility is to provide R&D formulation development for driving the implementation of the 5S, Resilience and Compliance agenda to deliver cross brand technologies across all formats in Hair North America,in a timely manner and alignment with Unilever’s quality standards, as well as providing technical support for local Procurement and Supply Chain.The position requires working with multiple functions across Unilever R&D, Brand Development and Supply Chain both regionally and globally.Formulate on bench, support consumer testing, clinical testing, scale up, SEAC/Regulatory/Patent clearance, specification, and recipe creation. Interact with the different manufacturing sites to guarantee the proper implementation of the 5S strategy as well as identify opportunities for batch cycle time optimization and drive right first time.  If a Hybrid Role is desired by the candidate, pilot batch and process development would be included.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or appropriate sciencewith at least 3 years practical experience, formulation in Personal Care preferred.
• Working knowledge of ingredients, formulation, process and product design principles-Working knowledge of root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques and application to existing and new products. 
• Project and time management skills to coordinate multiple work streams and timelines for innovation projects.
• The candidate should work well in teams and demonstrate the ability to collaborate with others.
• The candidate should have previous experience in active participation in multidisciplinary team environment by working toward the completion of team initiatives, as well as personal objectives.
• The candidate must be able to work independently, have strong technical, communication and organizational skills.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $71,400 to $107,200. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that areutilizedin making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. 

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
