Seventh Generation Content & Community Associate

Location: Seventh Generation HQ, Burlington, VT (Hybrid)
Reports To: Associate Director, Demand Generation Marketing

About the Role

We're looking for a creative, consumer-obsessed Content & Community Associate to help build deeper relationships between our brand and the communities we serve.

This role sits at the intersection of content creation, community engagement, cultural listening, and social strategy. You'll help manage our day-to-day social presence, create and publish content across owned channels, engage directly with consumers, identify emerging trends, and surface insights that inform marketing campaigns and brand storytelling.

The ideal candidate is equal parts creator, community builder, and strategist. They understand social culture, know how to engage authentically online, and are excited to turn conversations into meaningful brand engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Publishing
Create and adapt social-first content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and emerging platforms.
Draft copy and develop creative assets aligned with brand voice and campaign objectives.
Support content calendar planning and day-to-day publishing.
Repurpose campaign, influencer, PR, and user-generated content into platform-specific formats.
Collaborate with internal and external creative partners to produce timely, culturally relevant content.
Community Management & Engagement
Serve as a primary voice of the brand across owned social channels.
Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and community conversations daily.
Build authentic relationships with consumers, creators, advocates, and partners.
Respond thoughtfully to questions and feedback while maintaining brand tone and values.
Escalate customer service, reputation, or sensitive issues through established processes.
Identify opportunities for proactive engagement that increases loyalty and advocacy.
Social Listening & Insights
Monitor conversations, trends, cultural moments, and competitor activity.
Track audience sentiment and identify emerging themes within the community.
Surface actionable insights that can inform campaigns, content development, and product storytelling.
Champion high-performing user-generated content and community stories.
Reporting & Optimization
Support development of weekly, monthly, and campaign performance reporting.
Monitor engagement, community growth, content performance, and sentiment metrics.
Identify opportunities for experimentation and optimization.
Share learnings and recommendations with cross-functional teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Brand Marketing, PR, Influencer, Media, Consumer Experience, and Creative teams.
Support influencer and creator programs through content amplification and community engagement.
Ensure community insights are integrated into broader marketing and communications planning.


Required Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in social media, content marketing, community management, communications, or a related field.
Strong writing and storytelling skills.
Experience managing social media platforms and publishing tools.
Demonstrated understanding of social platform best practices and emerging trends.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Passion for sustainability, purpose-driven brands, and consumer engagement.
Preferred
Experience working with consumer brands, agencies, or creator/influencer programs.
Familiarity with social listening and analytics platforms.
Basic design and video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, etc.).
Experience creating short-form video content.
Understanding of performance marketing and content analytics.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $71,400 to $107,200. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
