The Home Care Packaging team is pivotal to achieving this ambition by designing a better & more sustainable future, with consumer-preferred innovation meeting industry leading sustainability commitments. Job Purpose
We are looking for someone who has a passion for packaging and the role of packaging in wider product innovation, who can inspire the organisation with the vision for what packaging can achieve, and who can balance that with the technical knowhow and ability to deliver innovations into consumers hands.

This role is responsible for the delivery the liquid flexible packaging innovations that will enable brands like Persil / Omo / Surf excel, Comfort, Surf and Sunlight globally to deliver growth through big impactful launches, and to meet our plastics commitments.

This role requires the ability to think strategically and build multiyear packaging innovation roadmap and technology funnel to support it. To connect with consumer insights and turn that into superior products and deliver high quality packaging innovations to market.

Main Responsibilities
• Support short-term liquid flexible packaging innovation projects and contribute to medium- and long-term pack initiatives focused on sustainability, consumer preference, cost, and technology advancement.
• Assist in developing packaging roadmaps in collaboration with Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams at both global and business unit levels to enable innovation strategy and deliver superior packaging solutions.
• Coordinate with external partners and vendors to support new packaging formats and system requirements.
• Contribute to building capability pipelines for flexible packaging aligned with plastic reduction commitments and cost-saving programs.
• Apply agile development principles to connect consumer insights with packaging solutions, ensuring timely and efficient delivery that meets business needs.

Experience and skills:
• Proven track record of managing packaging innovation on global / local brands, experience within FMCG product development is a benefit.
• Business awareness and ability to connect with different workstreams to get things done.
• Comfortable supporting projects where large number of cross functional stakeholders involved and ability to manage tasks within timelines and support multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in packaging – flexible packaging and knowledge of the technologies of the future.
• Working knowledge of polymers (materials and processing) and manufacturing processes for flexible films
• Business communication, appreciation of BC/financials and project management, understanding of claims, SEAC and Regulatory compliances in context of packaging.

Qualification
Post Graduation in Packaging Technology, BTech/MTech in Packaging Technology, Polymer or Chemical technology.


Travel
Yes (15-20% of time).
