Interview tips

How to prepare for a Unilever interview

In today's fast-changing world, what sets you apart isn't just your experience, it's how you think, learn and work with others.

At Unilever, we're interested in more than what's on your CV. We want to understand how you collaborate, solve problems and bring our values to life.

To help you prepare, we've put together an introduction to our values, insights from our recruiters and guidance on what you can expect throughout the interview process.

  • Focus on what matters most

Show that you can identify what will have the biggest impact. Share examples of how you've prioritized, made decisions and delivered meaningful results.

  • Care and make a difference

Demonstrate how you've supported others, taken ownership and contributed to positive outcomes for your team, customers or community.

  • Think ahead

We value curiosity and forward thinking. Be prepared to discuss how you've anticipated challenges, adapted to change or identified opportunities for improvement.

  • Follow through with excellence

Highlight times when you've taken ownership, maintained high standards and seen something through from idea to delivery.

There's no "right" answer in interviews. What distinguishes impactful responses is the thought clarity, clubbed with structure delivery and a couple of personal instances. Strike the right balance between substance and over-explaining.

In interviews, your stories should explain what you did, they should show who you are. Use real experience to highlight what drives you, how you reflect, learn and grow from challenges and how you create impact. Don't just say what you did, say you who you become because of it.
