Job Summary:**

The General Shift Executive at HINDUSTAN UNILEVER LIMITED is responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily operational activities within a designated shift to ensure efficient production, adherence to quality standards, and a safe working environment. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Manage and supervise a team of production operators and support staff during a given shift.
* Ensure all production targets, quality specifications, and safety protocols are met or exceeded.
* Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maintain smooth operations.
* Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning and initiate maintenance requests as needed.
* Maintain accurate production records, inventory levels, and shift reports.
* Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
* Troubleshoot operational issues and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime.
* Collaborate with other shift executives, department heads, and support functions to optimize overall plant performance.
* Enforce company policies and procedures, including health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and reducing waste.

Job Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Chemical) or a related technical field.
* Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within the FMCG sector.
* Proven experience in supervising and leading a team in a shift-based operation.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* Ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
* Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Willingness to work in rotating shifts (day, evening, night) as per operational requirements.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
