Background and Purpose of the Job

As the Associate Inventory and Waste Manager, you will provide input to Inventory & Business Waste strategy, forecast, and performance management for our WBC businesses. This role is responsible for providing insights through engagement with the OpCo Planning teams, communicating progress, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. The position will require the ability to prepare and analyze data to create an impactful story to share with stakeholders. Effective leadership in this role will require leveraging capabilities and best practices and translating actions into impact. This role reports to the Planning Associate Director, WBC.

Who You Are and What Will You Do

You’re a dot connector: You will engage and work with the Demand and Supply Planners on-going to ensure strategic alignment towards achieving targets.

You’re a story teller: You will support the Inventory and Waste pillar across WBC. This will require effective and proactive project management, tool development, strategic influencing, and leadership skills engaging key stakeholders within the framework to ensure visibility and drive action.

You love to win, and have fun doing it: You will deliver against key milestones and KPI’s including SC Planning targets for Inventory, SMOG and Business Waste by helping the team to find the right mix and timing on production decisions and having foresight as to what is coming down the pike.

You’re a changemaker: You will question the status quo and old ways of working by challenging the team to find ways to sustainably reduce Inventory and Waste. You will bring ideas to team meetings that drive efficiencies in run strategy, reduction in complexity, and cost savings opportunities.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Operations Planning, Supply Chain or related fields with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Strong Data & Analytics experience required; Advanced Excel and Power BI skills*. Experience with Rapid Response and Microsoft D365 is a plus. APICS a plus. Position requires excellent communication skills and team commitment. Strong financial acumen and related business experience a major plus. Good quantification and analytical skills in a dynamic environment requiring the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Ability to problem solve, influence, and lead others. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Technical skills*

• Ability to perform day-to-day operations in Power BI (including monitoring and maintenance, problem investigation and resolution, backup creation and maintenance, etc.)
• Independently analyze data in Power BI and correct issues in real time, providing end-to-end problem resolution Inventory Specialist
• Create regular reporting summarizing key metrics and trends to key team members and management
• Experience with BI tools and systems such as Power BI, Kinaxis, Microsoft D365
• Work across the Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate Platform as a service suite to build custom business apps that meet the needs of the organization

Pay: The pay range for this position is $88,600 to $133,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that areutilizedin making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. 

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
