Background & Purpose of the Job

This position provides strategic and analytical support to the procurement activities for 3rd Party manufacturing operations for the Foods Business Group as well as participation in the innovation projects planned to be launched in 3rd party manufacturers.

This includes but is not limited to: execute small, medium and large sourcing activities with a focus on data retrieval and analysis, market research, negotiation and relationship with suppliers, benchmarking activities, manage contracts, work in innovations, compliance tracking, savings and improvement initiatives.

Selected individual must collaborate with the various functions throughout Unilever organization, such as R&D, Planning, Finance, Brand and other procurement or supply chain groups in the diverse procurement activities. 

Who You Are & What You’ll Do:

3PM Procurement activities:

  • Participation in the sourcing and bid process, supplier selection, negotiation of prices, terms and conditions, awards and contract management

  • Support and participation in the design of the Procurement Strategies

  • Manage and control the contract of the incumbent suppliers

  • Relationship with the suppliers (meetings, evaluation, scorecard, Partner to Win)

  • Develop improvement projects to delivery savings, cash, cost avoidance and service level improvements

  • Participation with innovation projects, representing procurement in the extended team

  • Baseline analysis, and understanding of the current cost, prices and total spend

  • Special Projects

  • Control of the internal KPIs such as VIP, Cash, Cost Avoidance, USQS, etc.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/ Logistic, Business, Sciences, Engineering 

  • 3+ years general business experience in any Supply Chain function (Procurement, Logistics, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Management, Planning)

  • Drive Change Management initiatives, intelligent risk taking while managing risk, managerial courage and willing to make hard, fact-based decisions - comfortable with ambiguity 

  • Bias for action 

  • Maintain, build, and grow supplier relationships, cultural sensitivity/communication/global thinking 

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, team building, delegation, and communication skills 

  • Excellent business acumen - analytical and quantitative skills 

  • Managing change - Develops a shared vision and strategy for change. Delivers change whilst managing the interface between “day to day” and improvement projects. Tenacious in the pursuit of change goals 

  • Problem solving & decision making - Defines problems, systematically gathers and analyses data, identifies cause & effects and establishes root causes & achievable solutions. Makes good and timely decisions 

  • Drive for results - Is passionate about and perseveres in the pursuit of challenging stretch goals. Demonstrates energy, drive and enthusiasm when striving to accomplish.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $88,600 to $133,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that areutilizedin making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. 

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
