JOB PURPOSE

For our process area in our Crumlin Pot noodle factory we are looking for a Cell Leader to strengthen our production team.

The Cell Leader is identifying and improving the Cell top losses and demonstrating real tangible benefits within the team. Cell leader is leading the Cell team, formed with Process Engineer, Focus Engineer, owning Safety and Quality, and playing a pivotal role in the AM Pillar deployment by strengthening basic CILR standards in the Cell. Cell leader is owner of line efficiency, including OEE, waste, labour productivity.

The Cell Leader provides a common standard of communication and engagement across the
factory. They liaise closely with the core factory functions, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Safety to achieve this.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Owns the daily, weekly and monthly agenda for the cell. Leads the preparation and facilitates the cell meetings

  • Owns the CIL process for the cell. This includes deployment, execution, reporting the KPIs and continuous improvements

  • Leads Kaizen activity across all levels, including Quick Kaizen, Standard Kaizen, and Major Kaizen, supported by focus engineers and process engineer

  • Owns the loss elimination cycle for the cell and executes distinct parts from loss elimination plan elaborated with the focus engineers and the process engineer

  • Adhere to and follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) hygiene standards

ALL ABOUT YOU

  • Relevant degree with strong technical capability

  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work effectively at all levels

  • Strong interpersonal skills and organisational awareness

  • Proficient in WCM/UMS problem solving tools with a solid understanding of R2S requirements

  • Strong leadership in navigating the change required on shopfloor

  • Strong logical and structural thinking

  • Able to champion and drive continuous improvement and operational changes

  • Able to work as part of wider team and share best practises to help other teams

  • Role models leadership on the floor, and leadership standard work mindset

  • Comfortable in challenging status quo, unsafe behaviours and processes

  • Experience in high volume manufacturing, ideally FMCG

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money.In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.

What can I do?
