If you want to be part of Unilever's history, supporting the creation and scale-up of a future-fit factory that can become a reference site internally and externally, then this role is just for you!

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for executing and coordinating daily shipping and warehouse operations to ensure service, inventory accuracy, safety, quality, and operational compliance. This role owns the execution of outbound logistics transactions and physical processes including order selection, picking, staging, loading, shipment confirmation, PGI execution, shipping documentation generation, inventory controls, and transport coordination using ECC SAP and EWM.

The Logistics Coordinator acts as the link between warehouse operations, transportation providers, planning, customer service, manufacturing, quality, and SHE to ensure shipments are dispatched on time, in full, and with complete transaction accuracy. The role supports the Logistics FLM / Shipping Supervisor by sustaining standard work, escalating risks, solving daily operational issues, and improving execution discipline across the shipping operation.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Outbound Execution and Shipping Operations

  • Coordinate daily shipping activities to ensure compliance with dispatch schedules, customer priorities, transport windows, and site operating standards.

  • Execute and monitor finished goods selection, picking, staging, consolidation, loading, shipment confirmation, and dispatch readiness.

  • Ensure deliveries are processed correctly and released according to shipment priorities, inventory availability, documentation readiness, and transportation requirements.

  • Coordinate truck arrivals, dock assignment, loading sequence, trailer readiness, and departure schedules to reduce waiting time and avoid service impacts.

  • Monitor shipment execution in real time, escalate service risks proactively, and support issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders.

SAP ECC and EWM Transaction Management

  • Execute outbound transactions within ECC SAP and EWM with a strong focus on system accuracy, process adherence, and timely closure of shipment activities.

  • Ensure timely and accurate PGI execution, validating that physical loading, inventory consumption, and system confirmation are aligned.

  • Validate delivery documents, shipment status, warehouse tasks, picking confirmations, loading confirmation, transportation documentation, and customer-specific requirements.

  • Monitor system transactions to ensure alignment between physical inventory and system inventory across picking, staging, loading, and PGI steps.

  • Support troubleshooting of transaction failures, blocked deliveries, stock differences, delivery issues, master data gaps, and EWM/ECC integration constraints.

Inventory Accuracy and Operational Control

  • Support cycle counts, inventory verification activities, and stock reconciliation related to shipping and finished goods warehouse operations.

  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and support root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and protect inventory record accuracy.

  • Ensure all inventory movements related to selection, picking, staging, loading, return to stock, and shipment confirmation are correctly registered in ECC SAP and EWM.

  • Monitor shipment-related stock differences, blocked stock situations, bin mismatches, and system exceptions, coordinating corrective actions with the relevant teams.

  • Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy, transaction discipline, traceability, and internal control compliance.

Transportation, Documentation and Dispatch Readiness

  • Generate, validate, and control shipping documentation required for each dispatch, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and availability before truck departure.

  • Ensure transport documentation, delivery documentation, shipment references, and customer requirements are completed according to operational and compliance standards.

  • Coordinate with transportation providers and 3PL partners regarding shipment readiness, truck status, dock timing, loading priorities, and departure confirmation.

  • Support carrier management activities related to dispatch compliance, loading efficiency, truck turnaround time, and issue escalation.

  • Maintain documentation discipline to reduce delays, rework, claims, customer issues, and financial or inventory discrepancies.

Service, Quality and Customer Focus

  • Support achievement of OTIF, on-time dispatch, shipment accuracy, and customer service targets through disciplined daily execution.

  • Coordinate urgent shipments, priority deliveries, special requirements, and service recovery actions with Planning, Customer Service, Warehouse, Transportation, and Manufacturing.

  • Minimize shipping delays, selection errors, documentation gaps, loading mistakes, and operational rework through proactive follow-up.

  • Protect the customer and consumer by ensuring shipment integrity, traceability, loading quality, and correct documentation.

Safety, Quality and Compliance

  • Follow and promote all SHE standards, quality requirements, GMP expectations, internal controls, and warehouse safety procedures.

  • Participate in safety observations, audits, near-miss reporting, risk identification, and implementation of corrective actions.

  • Ensure shipping operations are executed following standard procedures, safe working practices, dock safety rules, forklift movement controls, and trailer inspection routines.

  • Support quality and safety investigations related to outbound operations, documentation, loading, transport readiness, or inventory deviations.

Continuous Improvement, UMS and Digital Tools

  • Participate in UMS and Continuous Improvement activities to improve productivity, service reliability, inventory accuracy, and process adherence.

  • Use ECC SAP, EWM, RF tools, Excel, Power BI, and operational dashboards to monitor execution, identify gaps, and support data-based decisions.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce waiting time, transaction errors, rework, dock inefficiencies, inventory discrepancies, and manual workarounds.

  • Maintain visual management, KPI tracking routines, standard work documents, and escalation processes for the shipping area.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Execute standardized logistics processes and systems with high discipline, ownership, and attention to detail.

  • Deliver operational excellence through compliance to standard work, transaction accuracy, documentation control, and reliable follow-up.

  • Support customer service improvement through shipping accuracy, documentation reliability, inventory discipline, and proactive escalation.
