JOB PURPOSE

This role exists to ensure Unilever’s financial resilience by optimizing global funding structures, safeguarding liquidity, and effectively managing foreign exchange exposures. With dual responsibility for the Americas market and a global portfolio, the role balances deep regional ownership with enterprise‑wide impact.

It plays a pivotal role in strengthening partnerships with subsidiaries and banking partners across the Americas and globally, enabling consistent adherence to treasury policies while responding to diverse market and regulatory environments.
You’ll be part of a team that transforms financial insight into globally harmonized processes — ensuring operational excellence that allows our brands and markets to thrive.

Because here, we don’t just hire for jobs. We invite you to be part of something bigger.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate and optimise funding structures for Unilever subsidiaries across the Americas and globally, ensuring access to efficient, compliant and strategically aligned financing options.

  • Reduce net finance costs by identifying and executing optimal structuring opportunities while mitigating tax implications and capital‑structure inefficiencies.

  • Ensure robust liquidity, cash and FX management, including seamless execution of daily liquidity processes and FX requirements across regions.

  • Drive end‑to‑end treasury process excellence, guaranteeing consistent, reliable and timely delivery of treasury operations globally.

  • Strengthen stakeholder relationships by acting as a key interface between Corporate Treasury and subsidiaries worldwide, with particular focus on the Americas, ensuring aligned priorities and effective issue resolution.

  • Partner cross‑functionally with tax, legal, local treasury teams and broader business stakeholders to deliver high‑impact treasury, funding and structural projects.

  • Manage and leverage global banking relationships, ensuring optimal support for payments, collections, FX solutions, cash management and complex market structures.

  • Advise markets on best‑practice treasury standards, balancing globally harmonised processes with local needs and regulatory environments.

  • Maintain and govern treasury policies, ensuring compliance across Unilever and recommending structural improvements based on organisational complexity and emerging needs.

  • Lead and support treasury transformation initiatives, incorporating market developments and insights into continuous operational and strategic enhancement.

  • Develop and coach junior and mid-level team members, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning and high performance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including regular interaction with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional partners.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse work levels and build collaborative relationships globally.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute multiple daily treasury‑related processes efficiently while maintaining high accuracy and operational discipline.

  • Proven experience working with both local and central teams, translating market‑specific needs into harmonized global processes.

  • High energy, resilience, and adaptability, with the ability to lead through ongoing change and fast‑moving business environments.

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, coaching, and project‑management skills, with the ability to support team development and drive collective success.

  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese is highly desirable.

  • Valid Swiss work permit or ability to obtain one without sponsorship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exposure to financial markets and complex corporate structures.

  • Experience building strong internal and external networks.

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence outcomes.
