Role Title: Product SME – Trade Promotion Management (TPM)

Location: Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam
Function: UniOps / IT – Customer Development
Reports to: TPM Product Owner

Make a real impact on how we invest in growth

Background

Trade Promotion Management helps Unilever plan, execute, and evaluate trade investments so we spend wisely, collaborate better with customers, and grow profitably. As markets evolve, we are scaling our solution and standardizing how we work—so that every market gets the maximum value from trade promotions

We are looking for a Product SME in Trade Promotion Management to be the go-to expert for business processes and product usage. You will help markets adopt our global model, translate local needs into clear guidance, and shape the future of our product.

Role Purpose

The Product SME – TPM will serve as a functional and product expert for the TPM solution, supporting deployments, product enhancements, process alignment, business readiness, and ongoing market operations. This role will support the broader TPM programme globally, collaborating with Product Owners, Platform teams, and Customer Development (CD) and customer operations stakeholders. The focus of this role is Product, business and functional process expertise, with the ability to translate market needs into product usage, best practices, and functional guidance while contributing to product roadmap and strategy

What you’ll do

Be the trusted expert

  • Guide markets on trade promotion processes such as promotions planning, funding, and trade accruals.
  • Explain product behavior, constraints, and best practices in clear, practical terms.
  • Help markets align to standardized global processes while addressing local planning realities.

Support deployments and onboarding

  • Assess new market requirements and fit with our global approach.
  • Prepare markets for testing by translating real-life scenarios and defining expected outcomes.
  • Validate new features and enhancements from a business point of view before wider rollout.
  • Serve as the first line of functional support for live-market questions.

Drive business readiness and change

  • Lead communication, training, and hands-on enablement to drive user adoption.
  • Partner with delivery leads on day-to-day operations and escalations to keep programs on track.
  • Take ownership of change management activities, including tracking and helping deliver business benefits

Shape the product and how it’s used

  • Provide input to the product roadmap based on market feedback, priorities, and process gaps.
  • Champion consistent functional usage across markets. Represent business needs and functional feasibility in cross-market forums

What you’ll bring

  • Experience leading process change, standardization, and user adoption in complex environments.
  • Ability to influence and simplify—challenging assumptions constructively and turn complexity into clear guidance.
  • Confidence working with enterprise systems (experience with trade promotion, revenue growth, or sales solutions is a plus).
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management platforms such as Salesforce is an advantage, not a requirement.
  • Strength in cross-functional collaboration—comfortable engaging with both technical and business teams.
  • A solid understanding of Customer Development–related processes (for example: promotions, trade profitability, customer return on investment, distributor and modern trade structures).
  • Clear, audience-aware communication skills—able to make functional concepts understandable and actionable.

How you work

  • Highly organized, able to plan and deliver to a clear set of actions.
  • Strong at multitasking and adapting quickly to change.
  • Skilled at building relationships, managing competing priorities, securing buy-in, and resolving conflict.
  • Proactive, independent, and structured in your approach.

Why this role is exciting

  • Shape how markets invest for growth: Influence how trade promotions are planned, executed, and measured.
  • Partner globally: Work closely with Customer Development, customer operations and hubs teams and various other product teams across countries.
  • Build rare expertise: Deepen your knowledge in Trade Promotion Management, value realization, and product evolution.
  • See tangible outcomes: Help markets realize measurable business benefits.

Our team culture

We are a supportive, curious, and outcome-focused product team. We value diverse perspectives, straight talk with respect, and learning in the open. You will find teammates who share knowledge generously, celebrate progress, and care about doing what’s right for customers and consumers.

Growth and development

You will gain hands-on experience across multiple markets, strengthen your product and change leadership skills, and influence a strategic capability at Unilever. We encourage continuous learning through mentoring, peer practice-sharing, and access to learning resources.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field is preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce Trade promotion management product is an advantage
  • Experience working with enterprise systems or business processes in areas such as Customer Development, Sales, Trade Promotion, or Revenue Growth.
  • Experience leading or supporting process change, standardization, or system adoption in a complex environment.
  • Experience engaging cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.

We highly encourage applicants to exclude information on age, gender, and school/s in view of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Unilever assesses candidates based on skills, performance, experience and leadership.

Unilever is an organisation committed to equity, inclusion and diversity to drive our business results and create a better future, every day, for our diverse employees, global consumers, partners, and communities. We believe a diverse workforce allows us to match our growth ambitions and drive inclusion across the business. At Unilever we are interested in every individual bringing their ‘Whole Self’ to work and this includes you! Thus if you require any support or access requirements, we encourage you to advise us at the time of your application so that we can support you through your recruitment journey.
