The Unilever Interview Experience

We designed our interview experience to help candidates show their best selves through a seamless blend of technology and human connection. Our hiring process focuses on what truly matters, giving every candidate a smarter, more meaningful way to showcase their strengths and potential.

  • Online Assessment 

    Series of questions to assess motivation and Unilever culture fit + Video assessment to discuss background, skills and career goals
    (55 minutes to complete)

  • Engagement Call (for WL1) 

    Online interview with the recruiter to discuss the specific details about the role
    (20-30 minutes to complete)

  • Hiring Manager Interview

    Online or face-to-face interview with the hiring team to assess the role fit. 

  • Offer and Onboarding 

    Successful candidate will receive the job offer letter along with the job details. 

Sample Questions

  1. Tell me about a time when you need to juggle multiple priorities and competing deadline. (Focus on What Counts)
  2. Can you share an experience when you noticed someone facing difficulties and took action to help? (Care Deeply)
  3. Please describe a time when you've had to adapt your plans in response to change. (Stay three steps ahead)
  4. Can you describe an experience that made you exceptionally proud? (Deliver with Excellence)

There's no "right" answer in interviews. What distinguishes impactful responses is the thought clarity, clubbed with structure delivery and a couple of personal instances. Strike the right balance between substance and over-explaining.

In interviews, your stories should explain what you did, they should show who you are. Use real experience to highlight what drives you, how you reflect, learn and grow from challenges and how you create impact. Don't just say what you did, say you who you become because of it.
