Location of the job: Jefferson City, MO

Base Pay Rate:  $35.34 per hour, with an additional $6.36 per hour for the PM shift assignments, paid weekly

Shift: 6:00pm- 6:15am, 2/2/3 shift schedule pattern

This role supports the operation and maintenance department bymaintainingand servicing processing equipment. Responsibilities include fabrication, part replacement,rebuilds, modifications, troubleshooting, andidentifyingparts needed for repairs. The individual will work both independently and as part of a team.

MechanicalKnowledge:

  • Mechanical Drive knowledge – Belts & pulleys/chains & sprockets

  • Bearing inspection& replacement

  • Mechanical linkages& couplings

  • Gear box replacement, rebuild, and alignment

  • Conveyor, sprockets & guide replacement

  • PD pump troubleshooting and rebuild

  • Centrifugal pump troubleshooting and rebuild

  • Diaphragm pump troubleshooting and rebuild

  • 2&3 state valve troubleshooting and rebuild

  • Heatexchangerrebuild

  • Check valves 

  • RO System 

  • Mix proof valves

  • Butterfly valves

  • Proportional valves

Communication and Office:

  • Email and Verbal Communication for shift turnovers.

  • Work Order tracking and completion 

General:

  • Plan, perform and/or oversee preventive maintenance, safety tag corrections, andfailuretag correctiononmechanicalequipmentasrequired.

  • Plan and perform routine system evaluations of mechanicalequipment,identifyingperformance trends orissuesandrecommendingcourses of action.

  • Resolve equipment malfunctions by evaluating machine performance, breakdowns,identifyingrootcauses, and taking corrective actions.

  • Participateinproject teamscomprisedof Engineering, R&D personnel, contractors, and vendors to introduce new processes and/or equipment.

  • Design and Fabricate changes to equipment to enhance machine performance.

  • Ensure that all required safety and GMP practicesare beingalways followed while completing the work.

  • Assistwith installation of control, information, and inspection systems.

  • Read and understandtechnicalrelated documents such as schematics, one-line diagrams,plan/elevationdrawings,P&ID, process flow diagrams,instrumentinstallationand configuration details.

  • Trainothers ontheoryof operationon equipmentand standard process & procedures

  • Support & sustainfactory ProcessSafetyManagement Systems

  • Support the development and continuous improvement ofcomputer-basedmaintenance managementsystem/work ordersystem.

  • Support continuous improvement activities to improve equipment/operational reliability.

  • Diagnose issues, take corrective action, and recommend improvements to achieveoptimalline efficiency.

  • All other duties as assigned.

WhatYou’llNeedtoSucceed:

This position is a developmental position for currentor previouslyqualified mechanics.

We are looking for mechanics to developtheir skillsinmulti-crafttradecapability.  

  • Candidatesthatare willing to undergocompany suppliedtraining to becomemulti-craftmaintenance,electricianandlow-levelautomation technician.

  • Already qualified internal applicants will be transferred to this program at their current wage rate based on the shift/shift differential rules.

  • High degree of mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting,maintenance,and repair.

  • The candidate should possess the ability to manage andexecutecontinuous improvementprograms, encompassing responsibilities such as implementing 5S methodology,computer basedmaintenance managementwork ordersystem, developing and maintaining work instructions, conducting breakdown analysis, ensuring compliance with lubrication standards, maintaining departmental charts, coordinating training initiatives, and performing audits, among other related duties.

  • Ability tooperatecommon shop equipment (Mill, lathe, Band saw) etc. is preferred
