KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand the impact of geographic,demographic,etc. factors onthe retailenvironment and assess customer and channel attractiveness.

  • Responsible for prospecting, qualifying,negotiating,and strategizing business development for the designated territory.

  • Responsible for ensuring a robust Customer Infrastructure is in place in the territory.

  • Optimizethe quantity & quality of customers in the area such that there are no service gaps while ensuring adequate service levels for trade and financial viability for customers.

  • Monitor the financial health and profitability of all customers andnegotiateTrade Term Structurediscussions withkeycustomers.

  • Drive top-line growth in the area andensureall execution metrices are also in place.

  • Ensure all new launches are landed in the area andto ensureall merchandising activities are run well.

  • Work closely with thechannel marketing team to ensure the right kind of trade support is provided to help deliver metrices.

  • Check on system hygiene at customers on aspects like extent of sales return, extent of damage/ shortage claims, mismatch between primary & secondary, physical vs. bookstock mismatch, trade discount hygiene etc. with CDOperations& customer service team.

REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must be a graduate orpossessa relevant professional qualification with a passion for a career in Sales.

  • A minimum of 2-4 years' experiencein a role of similar capacity.

  • Candidate must be willing to travel andpossessa valid driver’s license.

  • Be a good team player anddemonstratecommitment to the organization and the team members.

  • Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills.

  • Ability to present written information in a structured and balanced way appropriate to the needs of the reader.

  • Experience in sales relatedfunctionsuch as field sales/key account management/trade marketing will be an added advantage.

* We're currently based in Grandpass Colombo 14 and will be moving to Mireka Towers, Havelock City from March onwards.
