Job Title: Assistant Ultra Logistics Excellence Manager

Location: Mumbai HO

Department: Supply Chain / Customer Operations

Job Purpose

The Logistics Analyst will be responsible for driving cost, service, and network performance analytics using advanced tools such as Python, Power BI, SQL, and automation platforms. The role will convert data-backed insights into actionable initiatives that enhance transportation efficiency, reduce logistics cost, and improve service levels across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

1. Analytics & Insights Development

  • Build and maintain dashboards, models, and automated reports using Power BI, Python, and SQL to track logistics KPIs.
  • Conduct deep-dive analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities, service gaps, route inefficiencies, and vendor performance issues.
  • Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics for truck placement, network optimization, shipment planning, and service forecasting.
  • Analyse transportation and warehouse data to spot trends, anomalies, and improvement levers.

2. Driving Execution Through Insights

  • Collaborate with logistics operations, planning, procurement, and warehouse teams to implement improvement actions based on analytical findings.
  • Monitor post-implementation results to validate impact and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support cost-reduction initiatives such as route optimization, vendor negotiations, load consolidation, and digital process automation.

3. Operational Performance Management

  • Track daily performance of transporters, lanes, warehouses, and dispatch schedules.
  • Create alerts and exception reporting for delays, detentions, service failures, and cost deviations.
  • Support monthly reviews with performance reports, insights summaries, and improvement roadmaps.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with factories, distribution centres, transporters, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth logistics execution.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors by providing data-supported feedback and insights.
  • Coordinate with digital/tech teams to enhance data availability, quality, and visualization tools.

5. Compliance, Safety & Digital Enablement

  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal reporting standards.
  • Support digital and sustainability initiatives in logistics through automation and performance monitoring.

Experience Required

  • 2–6 years of experience in supply chain analytics, logistics analytics, transportation analytics, or similar roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, Power BI, SQL, or cloud data platforms.
  • Exposure to logistics operations such as transportation, network planning, or warehouse management.
  • Experience in FMCG / e-commerce / manufacturing industries preferred.

Qualification & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Analytics, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex analyses into clear business recommendations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with logistics processes, cost structures, and regulatory requirements.
