JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of the Local Deployment Lead is to successfully enable the delivery of technical products and services locally. Having specific local business knowledge, you will be responsible for supporting the Local Deployment Manager to ensure the products and/or services provided exceed the expectations of the customer and you will act as the go-to-person to provide hands on technical expertise, support and escalation when needed.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Relationship Management:

  • Support the Local Deployment Manager in developing and maintaining strong relationships with the Technical Teams and the Customer, acting as a primary point of contact within the region for IT service-related deployment and support.
  • Understand the customer needs, expectations and objectives to ensure that service deployment and delivery aligns with requirements.

Service Delivery Planning:

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Customers and other Stakeholders to understand deployments within the region.
  • Support the development of delivery plans, including timelines, milestones and resource requirements, to support the Product deployments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Product and Engineering Teams to support and ensure a seamless and coordinated delivery process.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor deployments within the Region by tracking key performance indicators and performance metrics.

Issue Resolution and Escalation:

  • Address and resolve issues promptly, collaborating with teams to identify root cause and implement corrective actions.
  • Escalate critical issues to the Local Deployment Manager, Technical Teams or relevant Stakeholders as needed, providing clear communication and proposed solutions.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess potential risks to service delivery timelines and quality.
  • Support the development of risk mitigation strategies and ensure teams are prepared to address unforeseen challenges.

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Monitor customer satisfaction in alignment with Product and Technology Teams to ensure customer needs and expectations are maintained.

Experiences & Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong functional IT knowledge, preferably within a FMCG organisation.
  • Experience in working with Global Virtual Teams and communicating with and managing senior stakeholders.
  • Region specific knowledge surrounding the deployment and operation of IT services.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) or other technical certifications.
