JOB PURPOSE:

The Category Strategy and Planning team (CSP) is sitting at the very centre of Strategy and Operationsof our business. As the CSP Manager, your main objective will be to develop and execute comprehensive strategies based on clear analysis and insights to optimize customer relationships and drive sustainable growth, both in the In-Home (IH) and Out-Of-Home (OOH) channel. You will be the one that owns and leads the operational side of the business, beingresponsible for creating and implementing customer-specific plans, leveraging insights from category analysis, shopper trends, and market dynamics to unlock win-win opportunities. To succeed in your role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales & supply) to ensure alignment and effectiveness in execution

The role will report directly in the CSP lead BE and includes 1 direct report.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer & Category Strategy

  • Build category expertise internally and externally, on both IH and OOH

  • Cocreating & implementing category growth strategies with key customers

  • Trade category plan creation for strategy days

  • Define data-based growth opportunities for our key customers

  • Cocreate compelling trade stories with our sales & marketing colleagues

Channel Strategy 

  • Define the Ice Cream channel strategy with a clear role for each customer (IH/OOH)

  • Define key shopper job-to-be-done

  • Competitor deepdives

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: 

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATION:

  • >5 years combined experience commercial and/or category role within FMCG

  • Experience in developing and implementing customer strategies, including pricing, promotions, planogramand assortment optimization.

  • Ability to build business cases & properly read a P&L

  • French or Dutch, and English

  • Compelling presentation skills

  • Excellent verbal and written English Skills      

  • Masteryof Nielsen data, Excel, PPT. Power BI is a plus

As publicly announced, Unilever will separate its Ice Cream business which is expected by the end of 2025. This role will transfer to the new Ice Cream company.
