The Project Engineer is a member of the Site Engineering team, as support of all activities of new project design and implementation, maintenance and improvement of existing equipments and infrastructures.
The Project Engineer manages directly local contractors and external suppliers along all the project phases. The role is mainly focused on facility and energy projects. He or She will be focused on reactive actions (following for instance safety tags) and preventative action plan to be developed with the Engineering and HSE Teams.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Casalpusterlengo site has an extension of more than 200.000 m2 , including facilities dedicated to different scopes, including production, warehouse, tank park, offices, utilities, and general services.
The Project Engineer collaborates with the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Safety teams, to new projects and guarantee the basic condition of all facilities, towards a logic of continuous improvement. Moreover, He or She will be involved in the key issues and improvement workstreams, acting autonomously in the development and implementation of solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work closely with all the Engineering, the Operations and the HSE teams, support and propose activities related to infrastructures continuous improvement;
• Support on the fast and efficient implementation of countermeasures to tackle daily tags and unsafe conditions;
• Guarantee the efficiency and the reliability of all the facilities including structural integrity, lighting, indoor/outdoor insulation, firefighting equipment and HVAC systems.
• Budget management allocated on specific workstreams/projects;
• All-round management of suppliers, including solution design, offers evaluation, order management, field implementation, safety and quality assurance, bureaucratic compliance;
• Participate actively in saving and improvement project meetings;
• Proactivity in building action plans to address specific issues;
• Ability to evaluate different solutions to the same issue, with focus on costs and timing;
• Assemble reports to document project status and changes;
• Oversee and assess existing processes and workflows and testing new procedures;
• Work on projects to optimize departments’ energy consumption;
• Track metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades;
• Work closely with area leader and technicians;
• Collaborate with the Safety and Quality departments for compliance with the Standards.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
• Engineering Master’s Degree or graduated no more than 1 year ago. Preferably in Civil, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering;
• Microsoft Office management at an advanced level (mainly Excel, Power Point)
• Knowledge of CAD drawing and plant P&ID is preferred;
• Aptitude for project planning and detailed engineering;
• Communication skills to manage external parties such as local contractors, suppliers and authorities;
• Extremely well-organized, precise and able to multi-task with excellent prioritizing and timemanagement skills;
• Interest in digitization and innovation;
• Proactive, self-motivated and able to act as a team player;
• English proficiency and Italian mother tongue;
• Fast learner, open minded and growth mindset;
• Having a “Can Do” attitude and result oriented;
• Strong problem solving, goal driven and creative thinking skills and attention to details
