Job Purpose

The First Line Manager (Production Manager) is a management professional with technical expertise in manufacturing, engineering, or food technology, and strong mechanical skills. You oversee the manufacturing process in the assigned factory, diagnostics to identify issues and risks, and coordinate with factory finances and use continuous improvement methodologies to maximize the efficiency of production.

While ensuring the product and people compliance with quality and safety regulations. FLM is leading factory initiatives, solve problems, and innovate, FLMs is also responsible for team management, lead and monitor team performance, working patterns, overtime allocation, coaching the team, and dispute resolution.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage production operations to ensure the OR (Output Reliability) and timely delivery of production for the customer
  • Report weekly production performance to the leadership team
  • Monitor, budget, and forecast production costs
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and comply and support Safety and quality standard, risk assessment, and/or related audit
  • Coordinate with related department, such as warehouse, planning, to manage the production plan within resources.
  • Make governance decisions and set strategies of process improvements, OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) improvement, loss elimination, cost savings and effectively problem solving
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for better performance through innovation and digitalization
  • Lead, and manage production team performance and people matters
  • Develop, coach and mentor subordinates, focusing on their career progression.
  • Drive, analyze, improve, and support cost saving and establish new solutions for process improvement in the site

Candidate Criteria

Skill & Qualification

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong people management skills and innovating the team
  • Understanding in concepts of production management, planning, and manufacturing operation
  • Good command of both written and spoken in English. Able to communicate, explain, attend meetings that conducted in English
  • Good in presentation skill
  • Proficiencies in Microsoft Office program, and relate programs
  • Energetic, working under dynamic environment and good interpersonal skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering or relevant
  • Minimum 5 - 8 years proven work experience as Production Supervisor, Manager or Production Engineer
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in leadership role or team management is preferred
  • Profession in foods production management is highly preferred
  • Experience in coordinating with warehouse team, planning team, and industry stakeholders are the must
  • Experience in continuous improvement and digitalization is a plus
  • Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, processes, and technology of FMCG manufacturing
