WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
This critical leadership position will serve as the General Counsel for the Beauty and Wellbeing Business Group across the dynamic and diverse PTAB region. The role will provide strategic legal counsel and direction to the business, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and supporting growth initiatives. The General Counsel will be a key member of the regional leadership team, contributing to overall business strategy and decision-making.
Maintaining relationships with Group General Counsel B&W, Beauty & Wellbeing General manager PTAB and Business Unit leadership team members, B&W Legal Leadership Team, Power of One Functions and B&W Business Integrity Officer, B&W Marketing Counsels

Experiences & Qualifications
- Legal degree and post graduate studies
- Admitted to practice in UAE
- Corporate experience – min 12 years
- Cross-geographical experience
- Language – English. Arabic as a plus
Your experience has allowed you to acquire solid knowledge of the economic and regulatory sector of the consumer goods sector in PTAB region, as well as in commercial contract law and distribution law. This role will support all SC and all ER/ IR related challenges hence you must have relevant experience and expertise to support with Blue collar and factory related litigations.
Skills
Legal Business Partnering:
- Acting as the first point of contact for BU leadership team in the geography, including marketing, sales, distribution, innovation, activation, and related legal issues.
- Provide proactive legal advice on marketing claims and advertising campaigns, ensuring compliance with local and regional regulations, advertising codes, and industry best practices.
- Review and approve marketing materials, including digital content, print advertisements, and promotional activities, to minimize legal risks.
- Advise on influencer marketing, social media campaigns, and other emerging marketing strategies.
- Manage and resolve advertising disputes and challenges.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring compliance, including Business Integrity, Competition law, Privacy, AI working in close Collaboration with Power of One teams and Business Integrity Officer B&W
Litigation and Dispute Resolution: In collaboration with Litigation team, managing incoming and outgoing disputes in the market
Strategic Legal Advice: Providing guidance on major agreements, product claims, marketing materials, and other business initiatives.
Collaboration with Global Teams: Working closely with Unilever's Power of One Functions to align strategies and share best practices.
Training and Education: Conducting training sessions on legal topics to ensure compliance and awareness within the organization.
Operational Leadership: Enable an effective operating model by leveraging technology, Power Houses, Power of One functions, and external legal support, including collaborations with law firms and alternative legal service providers.
Budget Management: Oversee and manage the legal budget in alignment with Unilever's functional guidelines.
