About the role
The Global Associate Finance Manager, PC North America is a key partner to the Global Personal Care brand teams focusing on North America market. The Associate Finance Manager (AFM) will support the cross-functional team to drive value creation, evaluate financial feasibility, and influence decision making. This role will have exposure to the marketing finance teams and gain valuable experience in a global role, dealing with a large multi-cultural global teams and interfacing closely with the North America market.
Who You Are and What You'll Do
Hone your negotiation and influencing skills by leading your business partners in guiding the business towards long term success. Interact cross functionally with Marketing, Sales or Supply Chain with ownership of Personal Care category from a finance lens. The role will touch all aspects of the business, including what new products will be launched, what new advert campaigns will go live, and where further investment will go. On innovative business cases for example, you will come with a creative mind while understanding the financial goals of Unilever to uncover the best path for investment. Partner with leadership to deliver bottom line and push Unilever to new heights!
The Associate Finance Manager (AFM) will be specifically working on Personal Care brands in North America. The AFM will be aligned with our key business strategies and play an integral role on cross-functional teams, to deliver our agenda through innovation funnels.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Innovation - Lead innovation business case developments, in collaboration with global brand teams, supply chain, R&D, and CS&P to project gross and incremental financial impact of projects
- Drive Margin Improvement – Drive margin accretive innovation agenda, across all levers- price, mix, and cost
- Performance Management - Monthly tracking and reporting of innovation actuals performance and funnel values roll-up vs. targets, providing actionable feedback to the cross-functional team
- Strategy – Support developing Financial Growth Models (FGM) based on agreed strategic priorities
- Financial Reporting – deliver monthly financial reporting decks for global PC SCL category and PC NA brands. Provide key performance insights
- Business Partnering – Serve as a strategic business partner, brining an understanding of finance, value creation and business drivers. Liaise with local finance to further agenda and ensure global and local alignment
What You Need to Succeed
Experience required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. MBA preferred
- Relevant business experience required (3 - 5 years) including experience in 1 – 3 core finance areas (Brand, Supply Chain, Customer & Channel Development, Planning & Analysis, Controllers) preferred
- Experience creating and implementing process improvement solutions

- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and Excel modelling skills are critical
- An enterprising and inquisitive nature that can find solutions to complex problems
- Drive insightful, fact-based decision making through objective analysis and knowledge. Evaluate alternatives, important assumptions, and ensure plans are aligned with relevant strategies
- Business partner with cross-functional teams, make recommendations and influence senior partners
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly communicate results and implications of analysis in both verbal and written forms with all levels of the organization

Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
