JOB PURPOSE

The main purpose of the role is to guarantee the perfect execution of the Procurement Strategy into related categories. It considers not only the category itself, but also the factories and other areas in the Supply Chain. It is the position that links the main projects and materials strategies into the P&L of the category and in the daily routines of factories in Turkey while managing the major transformational projects in procurement.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the effective management of procurement and operations pack materials
  • Collect, monitor and manage market information, provide analysis and price forecasts
  • Deliver KPIs such as savings & inflation mitigation, cash, incident management etc.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate inflation and create savings for respective portfolios.
  • Improve relationship and service with suppliers
  • Handle operational issues when they arise.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Part of the procurement team, responsible for all purchase commercial and/or operational activities

  • Scope: Manage procurement of pack materials for different Unilever sites
  • Responsible to deliver procurement strategies and implement in local business ensuring material delivery on site in full.
  • Develop strong and effective interfaces aligned with company needs.
  • Develop strong relationship with suppliers & improve their service along with market abilities.
  • Build or support local procurement strategic plan.
  • Follow up markets price trends and report best pricing estimate for annual planning and business
  • Continuously explore and analyse saving opportunities to generate sustainable savings.
  • Building and leading whole infrastructure for successful negotiation with supplier.
  • Verifying supplier compliance, audits required date as integral part of negotiation.
  • Following and analysing the market trends and align with portfolio teams on the strategy and further requirements from supplier.
  • Develop cost models with suppliers to enable cover transparency.
  • Set skilled negotiation with supplier in order to gain saving and create positive impact for business.
  • Create local contracts via Unilever contract tool
  • Responsible for SAP contract content and the required adjustments
  • Weekly reviewing and tracking on supplier's compliance status.
  • Closely follow up market movements to capture advantages on market with changed cover periods.
  • Enlarge competitiveness by approving more than one supplier to each material
  • Support packaging value improvement programs such as product logic savings projects, alternative supplier approvals, and alternate material approvals

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, supply chain management, or a related field 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience required in Procurement-Supply Chain
  • Advanced English written and verbal communication skills 
  • Basic understanding of Finance and the P&L
  • Excellent command of MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI
