CATEGORY INTRODUCTION:
Pakistan’s Beauty and Wellbeing is a €225m business and commands the market leadership position in Hair Care. It operates with 6 strong brands (Lifebuoy, Sunsilk, Glow & Lovely, Dove, Ponds and TRESemmé), 4 of which are power brands for Unilever globally. The business today is supported by one of the most technologically advanced and efficient B&W flagship factories in the PTAB region. With its large consumer base and strong market position, B&W Pakistan is the biggest market in PTAB region and holds clear strategic importance for the region.

JOB PURPOSE
You will work on end-to-end packaging development for leading B&W Brands, driving desirability & championing sustainable solutions.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
• Lead Packaging Development for Beauty & Well Being, including innovations/Renovations, savings, Mould qualifications & Sustainability projects
• Proactively input and lead packaging activities in network against different types of Inno, renovation, sustainability, 5S, quality, SC supporting projects.
• Collaborate closely with Beauty & Well being Business unit & Business Group teams for cutting-edge packaging initiatives
• Lead all technical validation of pilot mold, production mold, factory trial, transit trials
• Foster the growth of Packaging resources through targeted training and capability-building initiatives
• Develop eco-friendly and sustainable packaging options in line with anticipated business case, company policy, industrial standard, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to cost optimization ideas from packaging side while maintaining quality & superiority/premiumization
• Develop partnerships with material suppliers for packaging solutions mainly focusing on Innovations and 5S
• Work closely with procurement and quality teams to conduct supplier audits to ensure packaging materials and processes meet quality and performance standards
• Risk management during the project development & offering alternative solutions
• Lead digital R&D initiatives to streamline processes and enhance efficiency & drive simplification

WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Educational Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or relevant experience in the Packaging Development domain
• 4 to 5 years of experience in Packaging role or similar strategic role in FMCG
• Experienced in working with different types of packaging including flexibles, rigids & paper

Skills
• Expertise in Packaging Development and Plastic Sustainability including different types of packaging materials such as rigids, flexibles, paper, etc
• Solution oriented, result driven with strong attention to detail to deliver with excellence & ability to work under pressure or stretched timelines
• Team player with the ability to drive agendas with cross functional teams
• Proficiency in digital and analytics tools
• Strong project management skills
• Talent catalyst with the ability to develop team
• Good time management skills, strong ownership, responsibility & accountability
