ABOUT UNILEVER IN KATOWICE 

It is Unilever’s in-house centre of business partnering and operational excellence in the area of finance services, supply chain, customs, procurement, integrated planning and performance delivery. There are 300 people in Katowice Hub. 

The modern Katowice Hub office, whose interiors were designed according to the principles of sustainable development, is located in the city centre of Katowice, Poland.  
We are working in the hybrid way to use the time spent in the office to influence collaboration and straighten the team spirit, using special designed for this purpose office areas.   

JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is to drive the development and implementation of key Loadability and Transport projects for EU Logistics as a part of the overall Strategy and Innovation Program.

Typical projects on this role are related to Loadfill, Design to Distribute Program, and Transport & Network optimization.

This position requires experience in project management, experience in logistics is considered an advantage.

It requires collaborative work with Business Units, Sourcing Units, QA, R&D Packaging, Countries, Logistics Operations, Planning and Procurement.

The role reports to EU Logistics Project Assistant Manager and will have a high level of visibility across multiple supply chain leadership teams.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Manage the existing logistics Strategy and Innovation projects – starting from comprehensive analysis, identifying opportunities, business case creation, obtaining stakeholders approval, solution testing activities and final implementation.

  • Effectively engage with multiple stakeholders across supply chain to ensure smooth development / implementation of the projects.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership, facilitator and influencing skills to support implementation of change management activities & acquire buy-in from the stakeholders as a part of project development / implementation.

  • Manage communications internal and external to the project.

  • Ability to drive a team towards decisions in an environment with high levels of ambiguity, complexity, and risk.

  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries through influence, negotiation and partnering for changes requiring buy-in from all partners.

  • Ability to interact with all levels in the organization.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in logistics / engineering / supply chain management is preferred

  • Previous project / program management experience is required, experience in change management and multi-stakeholder management is considered an advantage

  • Good understanding of supply chain management and previous experience in logistics is considered an advantage

Skills

  • Very good command in spoken and written English

  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Very good analytical skills (advanced knowledge of Excel)
