JOB PURPOSE

You will be part of the Procurement Operations Team, taking responsibility for European operational activities to ensure a smooth supply of materials for our production – in-house or at our external Collaborative Manufacturers. In the current challenging times, the Procurement Operations team in Europe is playing a crucial role securing undisrupted continuation of our production operations.

The majority of your time you will spend on troubleshooting in all different aspects of our European Operations. You will support our internal sourcing units and/or Collaborative Manufacturers (CMs) in case of material supply issues and any other material related issues that might appear. You collaborate with all relevant internal and external stakeholders and coordinate the communication and issue resolution.

Together with our colleagues from R&D and Supply Chain, you work on projects to proactively prevent service disruption by drivingservice- and quality improvementas well as resilience for the raw and packaging material portfolio.  

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Driving service for raw and packaging material supply, mitigating upcoming supply/service risks through innovative and creative solutions (short and long-term) in collaboration with internal and external partners

  • Able to quickly build knowledge on various buying portfolios to take decisions on how to solve problems. Take that extra step to safeguard Unilever’s production.

  • Build a solid network within the company and with the main material suppliers and CMs.

  • Monitor capacity and capability at suppliers including mould utilisation in line with the Business Plan to assure continuity of supply, liaise with portfolio teams for contract coverage on key materials

  • Manage mould health and refurbishment projects including capex management for the respective portfolio, implement Mould management best practice

  • Collaborate with procurement manager on troubleshooting in all different aspects of our European Operations.

  • Identify and drive contingency and resilience activities; identify and follow up on opportunities to add flexibility to the supply chain.

  • Contribute to short and long term service and quality improvement projects together with suppliers.

  • Coordinating quality loss claims caused by materialnon-compliances

  • To ensure the satisfaction of Unilever's internal customers with the services provided by the procurement organization

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in FMCG Supply Chain (planning) or Procurement related roles

  • English language skills

  • Managing stakeholders

  • Effective trouble shooter – able to remain calm in times of crisis and creative mindset to identify solutions

  • Self-starter with strong accountability & responsibility standards
