JOB PURPOSE

UnileverBeauty & Wellbeing (B&W) isa€13bn businessandhome to some of Unilever’smost exciting categories including Skin Care, Hair Care,Prestige,andWellbeingwith brands including Dove, Clear, Vaseline,Hourglass,K18,Liquid IVandNutrafol.

This is a pivotal role redefining the future of Brand PR — shaping global narratives, building integrated campaigns, and advancing our Large Language Model (LLM) strategy for communications.You willpartner withiconic beauty brands to craft breakthrough stories that resonate with culture and drive brand love.

We arelooking for an experienced, creative, and agile communications leader who thrives on innovation, collaboration, and storytelling.You willbring exceptional writing and media skills, strong beauty PR experience, and an interest inleveragingdata and technology to shape global conversations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define the future of Brand PR in Beauty & Wellbeing, developing best practices and forward-thinking approaches for the discipline.

  • Partner with global brands to deliver integrated campaigns and buildcommunicationsstrategies and toolkits for markets.

  • Createassetsfor key global campaignsincludingpress releases,key messages,andreactive Q&A’s.

  • Lead the integration of AI and LLM-driven insights into communications planning.

  • Act as the lead onissues and crisis management, offeringsenior counsel and response strategies.

  • Providestrategic counselto senior stakeholders and brand teams onPR initiatives.

  • Manageglobal PR agencies and partnerships.

  • Supportlocal market teamswith playbooks, guidance, and best practice sharing.

  • Partner with brands toset and track annual OKRs, ensuring accountability and impact.

  • Build internal campaigns for key launches to create hype and buzz within Beauty & Wellbeing.

  • Strategicmindsetwith the ability to translate brand ambition into global PR strategies.

  • Proventrack recordin consumer and/or beauty PR related activity, as well as experience in media relationsand a strong understandingof allcommunicationschannels.

  • Deep passion for beauty, lifestyle, and cultural trends.

  • Awarenessand understandingof diverse global audiences and inclusive storytelling practices.

  • Skilledwriterand communicatorable to craft clear, compelling narratives across formats.

  • Deep understanding ofearned-first, social-first, and influencer-driven PR.

  • Strong project management skills and arecordof delivering measurable results.

  • Experience in issues and crisis management, with sound judgment and resilience.

  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and align complex stakeholder groups.

  • Highly organised, adaptable, and collaborative, with a bias for action.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of8years’ experience in external PR/Communicationswithina large organisation or PR agency, ideallywithin the beautyindustry.

  • Demonstrated success managing and executing brand PR/Comms campaigns end-to-end.

  • Experience leading multiple projects or events simultaneously.

  • Proven experience managing agencies and senior stakeholders.

  • Hands-on experience in issues management and crisis response.

  • Experience working across global markets and adapting strategies for diverse audiences.

Location

In June 2020 we announced our plan to consolidate a number of Unilever’s offices across the South East of England into a new Unilever campus in Kingston-upon-Thames in or around early 2025. However, on the 08 August 2024 we announced to our existing staff our proposal to retain our central Head Office in London, 100 Victoria Embankment (“100VE”) until our lease expires in 2027. As a result of this new proposal, we will be consulting with our existing staff, and new joiners who join during this period of consultation at 100VE, on the proposal made in August 2024. During consultation we will clarify the future location of each team and function. This means your role will either be based in 100VE until 2027 or in Kingston-Upon-Thames from early 2025. As we are yet to commence consultation on the proposal you agree, until such a time when consultation has concluded, your normal place of work as set out in the enclosed Statement of Terms & Conditions will be 100VE. You agree that on the conclusion of the consultation your place of work will be 100VE or 100VE until early 2025 and then Kingston-upon-Thames ("the locations") and you will be notified of which of the locations will be your place of work after that consultation ends.
