Location: UK/India (location agnostic)

Work Level :W2C
Function: GDT – Cyber Security
Reports to: Katy Cory

Role Purpose
The Cyber Strategy Execution & Performance Senior Manager supports the Director of Cyber Strategy & Transformation by driving governance, accountability, and performance excellence across the Cyber Product Operating Model.

This role acts as the functional integrator and governance lead across the Cyber organisation — ensuring that the function operates efficiently, transparently, and in alignment with Unilever’s NIST-based operating model. The role partners closely with the CISO and Cyber Leadership Team (CLT) to ensure delivery against strategic priorities, effective resource utilisation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1.Governance & Operating Model Oversight

  • Manage and evolve the Cyber Operating Model governance framework, ensuring clarity of ownership, accountability, and performance tracking.

  • Maintain oversight of L1 strategic milestones and NIST-aligned maturity targets across Cyber domains.

  • Coordinate and support Cyber governance forums, including leadership reviews, steering committees, and transformation boards.

  • Ensure consistent and auditable governance practices are embedded across all Cyber capabilities.

2.Strategic Performance, Insights & Value

  • Serve as the functional owner for Cyber performance insight, using data and reporting produced by the Cyber Reporting & Analytics team to assess how effectively the function delivers against strategy and maturity targets.

  • Partner with the analytics team and Cyber Product Leads to interpret OKRs, KPIs, and performance trends, ensuring insights drive accountability and improvement.

  • Synthesize and communicate performance outcomes to the CISO, Director of Strategy & Transformation, and senior stakeholders — translating data into clear narratives of value, risk, and progress.

  • Maintain a forward-looking view of functional health, identifying opportunities for efficiency, maturity, and impact enhancement across the Cyber organisation.

3. Financial, Resource & Workforce Governance

  • Support the Director in managing the Cyber functional budget, ensuring transparency of spend and alignment to strategic goals.

  • Coordinate financial forecasting, resourcing, and workforce planning across domains.

  • Drive consistency in tracking cost-to-serve, investment efficiency, and sourcing models.

4. Continuous Improvement & Functional Enablement

  • Identify and drive cross-domain efficiency and maturity improvements, leveraging insights from reporting and stakeholder feedback.

  • Implement standardised governance tools, templates, and reporting frameworks to enhance consistency and transparency.

  • Contribute to the Cyber Talent and Capability Framework, supporting career development, succession planning, and skills evolution.

5. Leadership, Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Director of Strategy & Transformation, supporting leadership preparation, insights, and decision-making.

  • Engage regularly with Cyber Product Leads, Risk, Compliance, and Technology peers to ensure cohesive delivery.

  • Foster a culture of high accountability, accuracy, and collaboration across the Cyber function.

  • Lead a small team of governance and reporting professionals to deliver high-quality outputs.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential

  • Proven experience in Technology Governance, Strategy Execution, or Performance Management in a global enterprise.

  • Strong understanding of Cyber Security or Technology Operating Models and enterprise governance structures.

  • Demonstrated success in building executive reporting and governance frameworks.

  • Financial and resource planning experience, ideally in multi-domain or matrixed environments.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.

  • Strong analytical capability and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to hold others accountable for delivery, quality, and performance.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks.

  • Experience working within or adjacent to a Cyber Security or Risk function.

  • Experience in product-based or agile operating environments.

Success Measures

  • Cyber governance and reporting frameworks are mature, consistent, and embedded across all domains.

  • Cyber LT and CISO have clear visibility of performance, spend, and risk.

  • Functional performance is transparent, efficient, and continuously improving.

  • The Cyber function operates as a cohesive, data-driven, and accountable enterprise.
