Job Summary:

As a Sr. Engineering Executive at Hindustan Unilever Limited, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and maintaining our manufacturing operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency within our production facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion, including design, installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and systems.
* Oversee the preventative and predictive maintenance programs for all plant machinery and infrastructure to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the application of Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
* Manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management to foster a high-performing and engaged workforce.
* Ensure strict adherence to all HUL safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO, GMP).
* Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, supply chain, and R&D teams to troubleshoot operational issues and implement sustainable solutions.
* Develop and manage the engineering budget, controlling expenditure and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising operational integrity.
* Evaluate and implement new technologies and automation solutions to enhance manufacturing capabilities and drive digital transformation within the plant.
* Prepare and present detailed reports on engineering performance, project status, and key metrics to senior management.

Job Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering from a reputable institution. A Master's degree is a plus.
* Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in engineering roles within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing environment, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or senior supervisory capacity.
* Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and control systems (e.g., PLC, SCADA).
* Demonstrated experience in managing maintenance programs (preventive, predictive, and corrective).
* Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
* Proficiency in project management tools and software.
* In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP), and environmental compliance.
* Flexibility to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment and adapt to changing priorities.
