If you are eager to lead Collaborative Manufacturing (CM) scouting and negotiation to drive impactful results in Unilever’s Nutrition business, then this role is just for you!

As an Assistant Procurement Manager – Nutrition CM & Future Core, you will be responsible for supporting and driving CM buying agenda in the region, ensuring we have strong CM strategy in place to support innovations and business growth in general. You will work very closely with Marketing, R&D, and CM Operations team in ensuring perfect execution of our extended operations from scouting to negotiations to support our Future Core ambition.

Main Responsibilities

1. Service & Resilience:

  • Manage end-to-end Collaborative Manufacturing (CM) through negotiation, tender, contracts, and service management.

  • Work with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain/CM Operations, R&D, Quality) to establish and execute resilience plans that support business growth.

  • Monitor CM aspects within innovation networks to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) innovation delivery.

2. Cost & Cash Management:

  • Handle quarterly forecasting by analysing factors affecting supply, demand, and pricing, developing insights for future market trends.

  • Drive Net Material Inflation and Gross Margin Target achievement through strategic buying and productivity initiatives.

  • Coordinate with R&D to support product and specification optimization (3S agenda).

  • Ensure effective cash management through creditor management, including payment terms extension.

3. Strategic Program Implementation & Partnerships:

  • Lead the implementation of Procurement Strategic Programs, including competitive buying (e.g., directed buying), resilience, sustainability, and partnerships.

  • Conduct continuous market analysis to benchmark Unilever’s performance against competitors and identify areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with the Strategy & Insights team on value chain mapping to enhance supply performance and identify transformative opportunities.

4. Quality & Compliance:

  • Uphold Quality and Compliance standards across CM partners.

  • Ensure adherence to Responsible Sourcing policies and conduct regular Technical Risk Assessments.

  • Lead transformational projects to improve sourcing practices and drive continuous business performance improvements.

5. Business Engagement (Innovations):

  • Support category strategies and innovations (Future Core) by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Planning, Sourcing Units, R&D, and Marketing align with business objectives.

Candidate Criteria

Experience & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or a related discipline.

  • 2-4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or program management roles, ideally in FMCG or a large, complex organization.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in supporting strategic procurement programs and program management.

  • Familiarity with sourcing practices, savings initiative, financial reporting, and sustainability, with the ability to support execution and monitor compliance.

  • Basic understanding of digital procurement tools and their role in streamlining operations, with an openness to adopting and using tools like Buyers Console
