Terms & Conditions: Full-time position; relocation expenses are not covered.

JOB PURPOSE:
This position sits within the Ice Cream Mexico team, focusing on developing and executing growth strategies for the In-Home segment. The successful candidate will lead portfolio and innovation efforts, refining brand propositions and refreshing communication strategies to strengthen consumer engagement. Collaboration across key functions will ensure seamless execution, aligning with business objectives to drive market expansion and strong revenue growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development of a growth-oriented marketing & category plan that seizes opportunities in product renovation, pricing strategy, competitor activities.

  • Develop and execute the marketing plan, including business and communication strategies, to strengthen brand positioning and market penetration.

  • Rigorously lead the communication agenda with meaningful, impactful, and disruptive communications for all the brands and brand-say and do.

  • Responsible for development and/or localization of media assets cooperating with external agencies and Digital Marketing Media & Commerce team.

  • Exhibit strong leadership with the ability to drive autonomous decision-making and push for discontinuous growth in the category.

  • Develop plans to strengthen the position of our portfolio in the market to gain market share and improve penetration of core and develop the market.

  • On-going market understanding at consumer and shopper level (brand measures, competition monitoring, media, and consumer behaviors); to develop ideas into marketing strategy. Uncover root issues and opportunities across the 6Ps via leading brand and category audits.

  • Actively contributes to Business Teamwork: owns & leads respective projects, puts forwards issues, shares updates with the team, gives feedback to others in the meetings; provides inputs to others.

  • Manage the cross functional teams and key stakeholders including, R&D, Procurement, Legal, Demand Planning, Trade Marketing, Finance, DMC and agencies.

  • Closely monitor the market for the competition and act rapidly with full agility to keep strengthening market share.

  • Brings an iterative, ‘test and learn’ approach to brand innovation and an understanding of agile ways of working towards market activation.

  • Management of Marketing (BMI) Budget within agreed targets (responsibility to keep proper balance of total budget ATL, BTL).

  • Provides for S&OP input for Business Team results (according to the S&OP procedure)

  • Full Responsibility of P&L

  • Optimize portfolio assortment to maximize value while reducing overall portfolio complexity.

  • Continuous improvement of profitability and product superiority

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:  

· Deep understanding and usage of marketing tools.

· Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills.

· Ability to present written information in a structured and balanced way appropriate to the needs of the reader.

· Substantial organizational and analytical skills, ability to pay attention to details. Ability to transform data into action.

· Strong strategic and influencing skills, be comfortable working with senior stakeholders.

· Potential to understand all aspects of business management,

· Self-driven, independent & pro-active person with high self-motivation

· Fluency in English (verbal and written)

SKILLS:

· Ability to guide, lead and develop teams through change and ambiguity.

· An intuition for consumer insights, understanding consumers, and bringing the consumer voice into the work.

· Positive, assertive yet empathetic leadership, with exceptional ‘soft skills to enable delivery through high degrees of collaboration and partnership, among multifunctional teams and agencies.

· Extremely high commitment to working with many & different projects, learning fast & delivering quickly.

· Business mind-set and thorough knowledge of consumer needs are required.

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:

· At least 7 years’ experience in marketing for Consumer Goods Companies (Snacking is a plus)

· At least 4 years’ experience in managing brands.

· Experience in leading cross-functional teams, navigating through complexity with speed & agility.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

As publicly announced, Unilever will separate its Ice Cream business which is expected by the end of 2025. This role will transfer to the new Ice Cream company.
