As an R&D Intern at Hive focusing on Processing your key responsibilities & accountabilities could be (amongst others):

  • Working on the product specifications that deliver the required quality to our consumers and to achieve this with the available equipment, adjust the equipment or create, build and implement a new design;

  • Support the factories, help them to be more efficient or operate more sustainable;

  • Working on pilot plant and factory trails, for example:

  • Working on tool for flow characteristics comparison for dry powder products;

  • Focusing on the processing of savoury powder recipes;

  • Towards predicting pasty cube processability: Correlating lab scale deformationinformation towards paste extrusion;

  • …And many more interesting tasks & topics to give you the best possible learning experience!

What we offer:

  • An internship allowance of €625,- gross per month; 

  • A travel allowance if you don’t have a student travel card;

What we ask:

  • You are available for 5 or 6 monthsfrom September 2024 (at least 32 hours a week);

  • You must be enrolled as a (3rd or 4th year) Bachelor or Master student;

  • A study food technology or processing, physics/physical chemistry and/or Engineering;

  • You have a great passion for foods & you’re analytically strong;

  • Fluent in English; both oral and written.
