What is BizMaestros?
Unilever BizMaestros is our annual flagship business competition that promises participants the thrill of real business giving them the opportunity to work on real problems, real brands and create real impact. Thus, helping students hone their business acumen and soft skills and preparing them for the corporate world, opening to them a multitude of career opportunities. The competition will run for 7 weeks with 3 exciting rounds.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN LOOK FORWARD TO
- The Top 3 teams will get an internship opportunity under Unilever Leadership Internship Programme.
- The winners will represent Team Bangladesh on the global stage – Unilever Future Leaders’ League where they will compete against representatives from around the world.
- The winning team will be fast-tracked to the Discovery Centre (assessment round) in the recruitment of the coveted Unilever Future Leaders Programme (UFLP)- Unilever’s Management Trainee Programme. Participants who are semi-finalists may get fast-tracked to entry level recruitment assessments.
- All semi-finalist and finalist teams will get exclusive mentorship opportunity with Unilever leaders.
TEAM ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION
1. WHO ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN BIZMAESTROS?
Full-time current final year undergraduate students, across any discipline/department are eligible to participate. Students will need to complete all course requirements (other than internship) by February 2024.
2. CAN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS FROM 2ND YEAR, 3RD YEAR, GRADUATES, AND MBA STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN BIZMAESTROS?
Undergraduate students completing all course requirements (other than internship) by February 2023 can participate in BizMaestros 2023. Graduates can only apply if they have completed all courses (other than an internship) in March 2023 or afterward. Only MBA candidates who have completed his/her bachelor’s degree in March 2023 or afterward are eligible to apply.
3. IS THERE A CGPA BARRIER TO REGISTER FOR THE COMPETITION?
Yes. Students need a passing CGPA of 2.5 to be eligible.
4. ARE STUDENTS FROM ALL UNIVERSITIES ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN BIZMAESTROS?
Yes. Final year undergraduate students across all universities in Bangladesh are eligible to participate in BizMaestros.
5. IS BIZMAESTROS OPEN TO BUSINESS STUDENTS ONLY?
No. BizMaestros is open to all final year undergraduate students from any department or major.
6. I HAVE PARTICIPATED IN BIZMAESTROS BEFORE. CAN I PARTICIPATE AGAIN?
No. Students can only participate in BizMaestros once.
TEAM FORMATION:
1. HOW MANY MEMBERS CAN WE HAVE IN A TEAM?
To participate in BizMaestros, a team needs to have a member of 3 from the same university or different universities. You cannot register with less or more than 3 members or as an individual.
2. DO ALL OF THE TEAM MEMBERS NEED TO BE FROM THE SAME UNIVERSITY?
No. Team members can be from different universities.
3. DO ALL THE TEAM MEMBERS NEED TO BE FROM THE SAME DEPARTMENT/ MAJOR?
No. Team members can be from different departments or can have different majors.
4. CAN WE CHANGE THE TEAM’S NAME OR TEAM MEMBERS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COMPETITION?
No. You cannot change the name of the team or team members in the middle of the competition.
5. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ONE OR MORE TEAM MEMBERS DECIDE TO DROP OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COMPETITION?
The team can choose to continue with the remaining members or drop out.
6. CAN A STUDENT BE A PART OF MORE THAN ONE TEAM WHILE REGISTERING?
No. A student can register just once and be a part of one team only.
GENERAL INFORMATION
1. DO WE HAVE TO BE PHYSICALLY PRESENT IN ANY VENUE FOR ANY OF THE ROUNDS DURING THE COMPETITION?
Round 1 will be held online but for round 2 & grand finale, participants will have to be present physically and present at the venue. All venues will be situated in Dhaka. The exact location will be announced closer to the date.
2. WHO DO WE CONTACT FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE?
For any assistance, please contact the Sparks campus ambassador of your respective campuses. We have a dedicated Facebook group for BizMaestros for each campus.

3. HOW MANY ROUNDS WILL BE THERE AND WHAT ARE THEY?
BizMaestros 2023 is divided into three rounds. Round 1 will be held online. For round 2 and final round, case submission will be online through our website and the presentation will take place at a physical venue. We will reveal the theme for each round closer to date.
4. WHAT IS THE TIMELINE FOR BIZMAESTROS 2023?
Starting from September, all rounds of BizMaestros 2023 will be completed by mid of November.
5. WILL THERE BE ANY TRAINING OR INFORMATION SESSION BEFORE THE COMPETITION?
Yes. Candidates will be notified regarding case briefing or any other sessions ahead of time. There will be mentoring and learning sessions for the participants throughout the rounds.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Go to the registration form through the button at the top of this page. Fill out the registration form with your Name, University, and Email Address. Once you submit the form, you will have registered for BizMaestros 2023 and receive the case for Round 1 via email within 24 hours.
* Please double check your email address when filling out the form as the case will be emailed to you at that address.
2. WHAT HAPPENS IF I DO NOT RECEIVE THE CASE WITHIN 24 HOURS?
In case you do not receive the case via email within 24 hours of submitting the registration form, please email employerbrand.ubl@unilever.com for support. The subject line should be ‘Query on BizMaestros Registration’.
SUBMISSION INFORMATION
1. HOW CAN I SUBMIT MY TEAM’S SOLUTION TO ROUND 1?
Form a team of 3. Team members can be from the same or different universities. Solve the case in the form of a 5-min video. Go to the ‘Submission Guidelines’ page of the round 1 case and click the submission form link given. Fill out the form with your Team Name, Team Members’ details, and link to your solution to the round 1 case. Once you have submitted the form, you will have submitted your solution for the round.
2. WHAT IS THE SUBMISSION FORMAT?
The submission will be in the form of a 5-min video. Upload the video in a Google Drive. Copy the link to the video and paste it into the submission form. The video should not exceed 20MB.
*When filling out the form please share the direct Google Drive link to the video you are submitting and not the link to the Google Drive folder which contains the video.
3. WHAT ARE THE MUST-HAVES FOR SUBMISSION?
