Position Summary

The Wastewater Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the wastewater treatment facility and equipment including Collecting Pit, Equalization Tank, DAF, MBBR, Chemical Preparation Systems, Sludge Holding Tank, Screw Press, Sludge Dryer, and Effluent Storage Tank while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems including Equalization Tank, DAF, MBBR, Chemical Preparation, Screw Press, Sludge Holding Tank, Sludge Dryer, and Effluent Storage Tank.
  • Adjust process parameters to ensure optimal treatment performance.
  • Collect wastewater, sludge, and effluent samples for laboratory testing.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests such as pH, DO, MLSS, COD, TSS, Temperature.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and chemical inventories.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and minor maintenance.
  • Follow safety procedures including PPE, confined space entry, and lockout/tagout.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
  • Support continuous improvement activities for treatment efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is an advantage.

  • Experience in wastewater operations, preferably with DAF, MBBR, and sludge dewatering.

  • Basic mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to read meters, gauges, and interpret SCADA data.

  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and be on call.

  • Willing to work in General Trias, Cavite

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 20–25 kg.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, wet environments, and varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.

  • Compliance with effluent discharge limits.
  • Stable DAF and MBBR system performance.
  • Sludge dryness and dewatering efficiency.
  • Zero safety incidents.
  • Accurate and timely reporting.
  • Optimum chemical consumption
