Job Title: Revenue Growth Manager

Location: Dublin, Ireland

JOB PURPOSE

The Revenue Growth Manager is at the heart of the business and plays a key role in driving business performance. The role of the Revenue Growth Manager is to support the HBPC CSP (Category Strategy Planner) Lead to drive revenue optimisation and commercial performance. As part of this role they will leverage data and insights to identify and deliver revenue growth opportunities.

The Revenue growth Manager sets and deploys the channel strategy, and deploys holistic customer investment across customers to deliver profitable growth. This role represents the customer in core organizational processes including S&OP, IBP, accurate forecasting & NRM.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact both on business results and how Unilever Ireland evolves its customer and channel strategies. 

The Commercial Operations Manager is responsible for:

Commercial (Sales and Operating) Plan

  • Own Customer & Channel input to the S&OP process driving forecast accuracy.
  • Design for channel, retail and pricing & promo mix optimisation, sku simplification, and Trade Terms optimisation for Fuel for Growth.
  • Partner with Supply Chain team in the Demand Review Meeting gathering key demand driving inputs from customer and brand teams to ensure the BU has the appropriate demand forecast to support in-market activity.
  • Track and drive total category/channel business performance. Monitor category/brand/channel market share, financial and execution performance to address issues and opportunities. Lead gap closing initiatives & interventions.
  • Responsible for SKU reduction process and Business waste (Residuals).
  • Own resolutions on trading issues that affect more than one customer (eg promo strategy / volume allocations / 1st to market NPD launches)
  • Working closely with Customer & Finance teams on optimising promotional sell-out (trade investment, volume delivery & profitability)

Integrated Business Plan

  • Channel/Customer thought-leadership, inputting into the category growth plan, brand Jobs to Be Done, SKU portfolio for next year etc.
  • Input into innovation / renovation business cases e.g. pack size by channel, pricing, distribution targets & trade margins.
  • Define launch plan for innovation to channels and customers. Create distribution priorities per category and track closely TDPs.

Development and implementation of channel & customer specific strategies to address the changing needs of the diverse shoppers across all channels in the marketplace

  • Channel specific category plans to develop destination portfolios by channel, build new channels.
  • Drive distribution and product availability across channels at the point of purchase.
  • Proposals & recommendations to drive customer growth profitability through NRM & Trade Investments for the category/ channel.
  • Developing price, promotion, distribution, shelving, and retail strategies with a relentless focus on flawless execution and the shopper mission.
  • Support new product introduction for listing into mix.

  • Results driven/achievement focused, strong focus on business outcomes, gap closure etc. Makes decisions in ambiguous circumstances
  • Entrepreneurship and Experimentation: Leads/takes action as if it was own business. Leverages digital technologies to simplify work and improve communication.
  • Organizational agility: Develops and leverages strong internal and external networks effective at stakeholder management & strategic influencing.
  • Leverages Category Management generated insights to develop/execute fully integrated brand/category strategies and activities for customers.
  • Strong understanding of the Ireland retailer landscape and how it’s evolving
  • Digital connected world – understands the path to purchase and embeds connected world framework into strategies and priorities.

All ABOUT YOU

  • Prior experience in Customer Account Management, or Finance roles is advantageous.
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Understands Net Revenue Management concepts
  • Proven history of working successfully within a team environment.
  • Strong passion to understanding shoppers and customers to gain insights
  • Data analytical and digitally curious.

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money.In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
