JOB SUMMARY

The Modern Trade Key Account Assistant Manager is responsible for driving the sales and growth through partnerships with MT retailers. This role involves strategic planning, relationship management, negotiation, and execution of sales strategies to achieve business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Category Execution & Growth

  • Achieve sales targets and KPI metrics for assigned accounts
  • Identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Implement account-specific sales plans
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and delivery of mutual objectives.

Account Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail partners.
  • Understand retailer needs and develop tailored solutions to maximize sales opportunities
  • Implement account plans to achieve sales targets and enhance market presence.

Promotions & Merchandising:

  • Collaborate with CSP/ Marketing teams to plan and execute promotional activities.
  • Monitor promotion performance and track ROI.
  • Market Analysis:
  • Gather market intelligence on retail competitors, consumer trends, and customer preferences.
  • Share insights with internal teams and recommend action plans.

Reporting & Communication:

  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts.
  • Communicate performance metrics and insights to internal teams and stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in key account management, ideally within the FMCG sector.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales data.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
