Are you passionate about creating safe, efficient, and high-performing laboratory environments? As Unilever Fragrance House (UFH) Laboratory Lead, you will play a critical role in enabling innovation by ensuring our laboratory operates seamlessly every day.
You will lead the management of our India lab, supporting formulation, application, and evaluation work that ultimately helps deliver products used by millions of people around the world. Your work will directly impact the quality, safety, and speed of innovation across our teams.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will take ownership of the laboratory environment and ensure it consistently supports high-quality R&D work for UFH. Key responsibilities include:
• Leading the end-to-end management of the laboratory, ensuring it is organized, efficient, and ready to support all activities
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning workspace, including all equipment and evaluation areas
• Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and laboratory management standards
• Overseeiog safe handling and disposal of laboratory waste in line with regulatory requirements
• Managing laboratory equipment, including routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely replacement
• Working closely with operations teams to resolve technical issues and minimize downtime
• Overseeing planning and budgeting for new equipment and ongoing laboratory needs
• Ensure availability of all materials and consumables required for smooth laboratory operations
• Keeping evaluation booths and testing areas fully operational and available according to timelines
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all laboratory activities

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who combines strong technical discipline with ownership and collaboration:
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific discipline
• Experience working in a laboratory environment, with a strong focus on safe and effective practices
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across diverse technical teams
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Good understanding of laboratory safety processes, including standard procedures, risk assessments, and safe handling of materials
