Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job:

To develop, grow, and manage the business of Unilever Foodsolutions in the Grand-Duché de Luxembourg with designated account customers and HORECA (Hotel/Restaurant/Café) and social customers to achieve sales volume, turnover, and profitability objectives as agreed. We are looking for an experienced Account Manager who will ensure great collaboration with the main wholesaler in the Grand-Duché de Luxembourg to develop their customer base.

You should have an excellent network in the GDL HORECA and institutional channel.

You will be responsible for implementing a focused UFS approach in cooperation with UFS operator marketing Horeca & KAM wholesaler to accelerate growth and get operators to choose UFS as their main ingredient partner by supporting them (with the right products and great support) in running a successful operation.

As a “Country” specialist, in close collaboration with your Line Manager and the KAM Trade, you will be able to contribute to designing the right strategy to develop the customer base more quickly after one year.

In this role, you will report to the Regional Sales Manager South.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

  • Ensure the achievement of all agreed objectives and continuously evaluate progress against these objectives, recommending corrective actions if necessary.

  • Manage and develop relationships: know the buyers, network, negotiate, and close deals at multiple levels.

  • Build and maintain necessary customer contacts at all levels, ensuring maximum effectiveness of Unilever Foodsolutions activities and growth delivery.

  • Once a deal is closed, follow up through our scorecards to evaluate the agreed counterparts and take corrective actions when necessary.

  • Organize sales stimulation activities such as product presentations, training, and inspirational sessions with the support of our Culinary Advisor.

  • Ensure close collaboration and relationship building with La Provençale.

EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD HAVE/THE QUALITIES WE LOOK FOR

Who Are You?

Formal Qualifications:

  • Higher education or equivalent.

  • Proven sales experience.

  • Fluently trilingual in French, English, and Luxembourgish (Dutch and German are a plus).

Experience:

  • 3+ years of field sales experience.

  • Proven excellent negotiation experience.

  • Strong analytical ability – analysis of PowerBi dashboard, Excel.

  • Strong digital ability – use of Showpad, presentation PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of the foodservice business in the Grand-Duché de Luxembourg.

  • Strong conceptual thinking.

Special Skills or Knowledge:

  • Good listening and negotiating skills, able to leverage relationships with chefs and buyers of chain accounts.

  • Demonstrable analytical ability.

  • Team player but also able to manage the “country” alone.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for growth and food.

  • Very strong consumer and customer focus.

  • Showing a strong bias for action.

  • Accountability and responsibility.

  • Culinary knowledge or passion.
