Business context and main purpose of the job:
The open function is the role of Key Account Manager (KAM) for Total Carrefour for the Foods categories.
Your role as a KAM is to develop and deliver a win-win customer strategy and Customer Business Plan through the best integration of the Unilever strategy, the customer strategy and your category strategy. With the aim to grow the business of the customer, achieve our growth, business & profit targets.
This role reports directly into the Sales Director Foods and works very closely with the National Account Manager Luxembourg.
Part of the CCBT Foods, you bring the voice & needs of the customers and shoppers among the different stakeholders and you are an active member of the category growth journey with additional responsibilities on strategic projects.
This is a key role to transform the way we do business with our customers to drive growth in a rapidly changing retail environment, activating all banners in an omni-channel retailer, leveraging our Foods categories where we need to develop our footprint.
What will your main responsibilities be?
Customer Management:
Manage and develop relationship with customer Carrefour & Mestdagh: network, matrix contacts, sponsors, decisionnaires
Identify needs of your customer, strategy, build your JBP and promo plan with the support of Category Managers & CMA.
Close the deal with the customer by negotiating trade terms, trade funding, and counterparts according to the Unilever strategy on your categories
Deal and analyse implementation, adapt and take corrective actions where necessary.
Management of customer investments (price cuts, coupons, TTS, promotions, …).
Monitor retailer & Unilever profitability.
Act as active ambassador of Unilever at the customer and of the customer at Unilever.
Customer Strategy and Business Plan:
Develop the customer strategic business plan and work out a joint customer business plan for your respective categories.
Work in close collaboration with Channel & Category Development Manager for the category input, and with customer marketing for the banner/channel plan.
Develop optimal integrated promo plan (incl. selling the plan at the customer) and manage promo investments.
Manage the customer P&L for your respective categories.
Provide clear objectives and deliverables for the field team.
Deliver the customer strategic business plan, monitor and review the plan in line with the agreed targets (Turnover, UVG, market shares, customer contribution).
Provide customer and banners understanding on your respective categories primarily to Category Manager, Customer Marketeer and CTM but also to the entire business.
Who are you?
Master degree or equivalent by experience.
Former experience in key account and/or business development.
A very good knowledge of Dutch and French. Knowledge of English is an asset.
