This role is located at the Bangalore Hub, which serves as an extension of the Headquarters. The Bangalore Hub offers opportunities for professional development and career growth across various job functions and areas of expertise.

Job Purpose:
The Growth and Marketing Office (GMO) drives value to Unilever for today and pioneers for tomorrow, delivering against in the GAP, in service to the Business Groups (BGs) strategies and priorities. GMO will drive transformational growth through disruptive marketing & innovation ideas, commercial adoption of digital and AI, and modern marketing capabilities like social first, and real-time performance marketing. This role also supports Global customer development capabilities.
This role focuses on supporting the whole team and its related activities, such forecasting, budget management, reporting requirements, business engagement with GMO Global Customer Development (GCD), Group Chief Accountant’s Department (GCAD), Global Performance Mgt (GPM) and central FET organisation of Unilever. This role will directly partner on the matter of budget, forecast, Actuals and month end closing, performance reporting and dynamic resource allocation within the team with key pillars of GMO organisation: Integrated Brand Experience team, Global Media, Global Consumer and Markets insights team, and Growth Initiatives and capabilities

Responsibilities:

• Budgeting and forecasting: One of the primary responsibilities is to create and manage budgets and forecasts
• Financial modelling: To develop financial models to support decision-making
• Variance analysis: Analyse variances between actual and forecasted financial results to understand the reasons for discrepancies
• Strategic planning: To assist GMO Finance Manager in strategic planning by providing financial insights and recommendations
• Performance reporting: Prepare performance reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics
• Ad-hoc analysis: To conduct ad-hoc analysis to support various business decision including basic business cases.
• Provide analytical support to the team through information and reports from multiple sources like iFinance, UL P&L results, BMI and OH cost analysis etc.

Skills:
• Financial acumen: A deep understanding of financial principles and the ability to perform complex analyses
• Analytical skills: Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Technical proficiency: Strong command of technical tools and data analytics, including Excel and Easy Budget
• Communication skills: Excellent communication skills to convey financial insights and recommendations effectively
• Attention to detail: The ability to interpret complex data and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
• Project management: Skills in managing projects and collaborating with various departments

About You:
• Professional experience: At least five years of experience in operational and business partnering roles, preferably in a global function.
• Professional finance qualification: Equivalent to CA, CIMA, ACC, MBA
• Experience in finance function – preferably in reporting and accounting (desirable)
• High attention to detail and strong work ethic
• Good interpersonal skills to build rapport with various stakeholder
• (Desirable) Corporate centre experience
